If you load too many compos on your ship for the reactor, what happens? Loaded a high energy use weap today because I got the kewl little "reflector dishes" on my X-wing like in the movies. Overloaded reator by 1k. Everything seems to work fine though. Any ideas? I probably won't use the weap I added, so I don't truly need the reactor to power it...
[Edit] I just noticed I got a "low power" warning on the chaff launcher. How will this affect performance...?

being over on reactor power will start effecting your other systems, like your countermeasures and missles wont fire, the higher your over the more systems dont work

Can anyone tell me what exactly this command does? I'm using reactor overload 3 now and I'm not noticing anything happening.

From what I understand, it helps you run more equipment than your reactor can supply. If you are 1000 energy over the limit, sometimes while firing your blasters, you won't be able to fire your CMs. If you run the overload program, your reactor generates more power, allowing you to use all of your equipment at once. The problem is that the overloaded reactor's energy output never changes so we can never know exactly how much extra power we are getting.

So far I've got to 2322 privateer, and I'm not using droids or computers yet.
I'm interested in the reactor overload command. Not sure how this helps me. If my capacitor is out of juice, will running this command refill my capacitor on demand? If so, what's the trade off?

i havn't used it either but from what I understand, you can load down your ship with high power consuming components, use reactor overload and be able to power everything. But at a risk of huring your reactor.

Reactor overload is awesome. My equipment goes over the reactor energy limit and with reactor overload 3 all of my systems work even with engine overload 3 and weapon overload 3 turned on!!!! It will damage your reactor very slightly, but you can just fix it at the spacestation, so no big deal.

Oh, suuurrre. Tell that to my 20hp reactor.
As soon as the armor on my kihraxz is gone... wham. There goes my reactor.

Well... with that 20 HPs reactor it doesn't really matter if you overload or not, it still blows after your armor is gone no matter what you do...
perhaps consider getting a new one?

Reactor overload 2 allows me to run engine overload 2 without any loss of efficiency for my weapons. That means almost 200 additional speed at almost no cost - 8 creds to fully repair the 3 dmg it does to my engine's and reactor's armor.

Are privateer droid programs permanently on once you activate them or do you have to call them again after a while?
