You guys want to limit our professions ability to interact with other players via our profession? You want to make it so that only a master bounty hunter has any ability to do something that all bounty hunters want to do, not because it's cool, but because it's required for us to be bounty hunters in a multiplayer game? Where is the reasoning behind this? To give a perk to Master by making everyone else genuinely useless is not the way to make Master worth being obtainable. I would like to make sure my stance on this is clear and see who backs me up on this: Player bounties are NOT a perk. They are a requirement of the profession. Bounties are what make us Bounty Hunters. Not pistols, or carbines, or LLCs. It's the bounties that come as a result of the Investigation line. And because of the humongous skill point sink of this profession the only viable way we have to interact with other players on any sort of profession based level is through bounty missions. Moving Player bounties to Master is like telling Dancers or Musiciansthey can only run entertainer missions from terminals until they're master. It's like telling all craftsmen they can only build things for artisan missions until they're master. If ANYTHING, player bounties should be available from Invest 1 and the droid abilities should be the reason for people to level up investigation.

Your wrong. You say "its not the only way to make master worthwhile" but wheres your suggestion on how to do so? Go seek sympathy someplace else dabbler. You'll not find it here.

I'm not a dabble. I've been a MBH for a long time. You want suggestions? Replace Fastblast with something that targets 3 random pools. The ability to manage more than one Bounty Mission at a time and something that currently exists, the boost in skill mods for tracking.

Learn who you're talking to before you mouth off, boy.

all bounty hunters are dabblers.

Pistoleers, Carbineers, and Commandos (LLC being a heavy weapon) could all say we dabble in their professions.

how many of us dabble in Medic, Carbineer, and Pistoleer?

Lower level Bounty Hunter's get NCP missions. They have BH specific content. You are wrong in your statement that Player Bounties aren't a perk - they are absolutely a perk and the ability to hunt players should not be granted before this game decideds that you have the ability to hunt the highest difficulty NCPs. Player Bounties are on a whole other lvl of playing and that lvl is one which should be reserved for Master Bounty Hunters. To hunt the best marks you should be required to be the highest lvl bounty hunter.

You are not a pistoleer if you take the defense line, you are not a medic if you take first aid, you are not a carbineer if you take special abilities, and you are NOT a bounty hunter if you take the investigation line only.

They may have BH specific content but it's content that might as well be part of a singly player game. This is an MMO, we need to have interaction with others. Before the recent publishes people couldn't even attack our marks. The terminals don't con the group for difficulty or reward. So how is a Bounty Hunter who's not a master supposed to engage in player interaction via a profession that sinks up the majority of our skill points?

As for Bounty Hunters having to do more than investigation... ABounty Hunter by definition is someone who hunts bounties (that's the short definition)which would be anyone who does any level of BH mission. The weapons that we are currently given are a pigeonhole developed out of laziness. Look at our titles, Invesitgator for the carbine line. We where originally supposed to have two lines for tracking. The weapons don't define us. The Bounties do.

Absolutely 100% in agreement with Razael. A BH should be defined by what he does, not by the fact that he took the cookie cutter MBH template that Sony pushed. That being said, I have every intention of mastering. But there are skills and certs befitting of a bounty hunter to be found in other trees as well...

Your all out of order, this whole courtroom is out of order!

And if your a master bounty hunter than stop your griping child, because your already there! (Even though I don't really believe you are.)

That said, only a person with investigation 4 deserves player bounties. First off, we will have a ton of people dabbling for pvp missions taking our targets constantly. Second, only a defined bounty hunter should be able to track and kill a jedi, skillwize. Thirdly, your a doosh.

My concern isn't about myself, unlike seemingly alot of others. My concern is for people who enjoy the profession, the profession itself, and for the community. You only care about Masters.

Not masters bro, just investigation. I think people should have to get to the 4th line of INV before getting PVP. It'll limit all the newbies from stealing our targets and increase relaxation and decrease stress in the game.

A lot of people will agree with me, but they aren't here right now. I'm bored at work posting opinions and screaming white power. Laugh it up.

Y'know, I'd support moving it to 4 before moving it to master. I just think that people seem to underestimate the power of working skill mods in tracking targets and have come to accept SOE's definition of a Star Wars bounty hunter too readilly.

Im glad we finally came to an agreement.

I expect people thought us to duke this one out for at least another 2 days. Finally a post that resolves an issue in agreement rather than flames and banter.
