....with the Imps getting screwed again
This goes in sometime today (Dec 7th).
Publish 11.4 In this publish we have given new pilots an upgradeable ship, added new droid commands for our pilots and removed the costs for damage in the pvp zone. Read on to find out more. Major features:
PVP
- If you leave deep space or die, all damage is repaired for free with no decay. There are NO pvp Damage penalties for deep space now
New Player Ships
- New Player - Replaced the non-upgradeable newbie ships with new "Prototype Ships", which are upgradeable, and are equipped with a hyperdrive.
Pilots
- New Droid Commands: 9 neutral (Weapon Capacitor Overcharge 1- 4, Weapon Capacitor Reset, Capacitor to Shield Shunt 1 - 4) and 2 rebel (Shield Emergency Front & Rear). Where's Imperial in this?
Look, devs, I know that Jedi and rebels are your "bread and butter". However, you can't have a Galactic Civil War without the Imperials (well, I suppose you could always force us players to become rebel and make all Imperials faceless drone npcs, but then why would I bother paying you $15 a month, when I can play any other SW game in which I'm a rebel killing faceless Imperial drone npcs for FREE? AND, I can be a Jedi with none of the long, boring grind).I'm not even saying the privateers and rebels shouldn't have these (I don't really know one way or the other). However, could you at LEAST start thinking of Imperial players, beyond how you can give us the shaft yet again? If being an Imperial player is SO bad, why did you even give us the option of joining the Empire?
I for one will NEVER become a rebel. So, let's just say this, my subscription ends in June 2005 (yes, apparently I WAS dumb enough to renew for another year). If by that time combat isn't actually balanced (that's BALANCED, not nerfed, there is a difference), and Imperials don't start getting some love, I am out of here.

Sharky mate, if we were talking about the ground game I would agree, but having made SS Ace before re-rolling my character and going Privateer, Imperials really do have it better. With the fight reactor, we dont even need the Priavteer Reactor Overload programs to run anything up to WO and EO 3, and remember, you can always trade with a Privateer for the new programs

There are valid points to the complaint (aka whine). It is a known fact that an Imperial pilot will have the hardest time out of the 3 pilot trees. It is also known, that neutral and Rebel pilots, while having it easier to start with, are regularly getting handed more and more game features to help them. No matter, really. If a Rebel pilot actually needs all that stuff to have a chance, that just shows me what kind of player is a Rebel.
My only complaint about this publish is that it shows me that they haven't been doing a freaking thing about the client/server sync bug that does exist, has a few temporary work-arounds, and prevents many of us from being able to kill anything in space (yet we're essentially sitting ducks for the NPCs to pick apart). I paid for my expansion, just like everyone else. I pay for the priviledge to play the game every month, too. So, why is it that I and many others are being denied the ability to play? No, launching into space and being able to fly around and be picked apart by tier 1 ships while you're a tier 3 pilot is not "playing the game", it's called "unwilling target for the NPCs". Now, before any of you wise-crackers say "you just don't know how to fly/dogfight", let me tell you that you no more know how to breathe. I made it to tier 3, on my own. I'm on my 4th trainer. Now, do the research and find out how easy that is for an Imperial pilot in Storm Squadron (hardest faction, hardest squadron for that faction).

You know what? SWG might as well sunset before your subscription ends. They're losing players.

Deep Space good for all
Newbie ships good for all
Droid programs good for all
Not sure if you were aware of this but Imperials can use Rebel and Neutral programs. They took a Rebel TACTICAL skill and turned it into a program so IMPERIALS can use it and you are crying foul? Before opening your mouth and demonstrating what a whining moron you are maybe you should THINK for a change of pace.
If I was Palpatine I would have you executed for being an incompitent whiner.

Imperials Get decimator.... I would trade all my commands with YT1300 for decimator to become Neutral ship... It looks so awesome... looks like prototype supercar.

firespray is overrated i think. the convergence of the guns is ineffiecient, plus it has a huge, easily hit arse.

Yep, I had mission where F sprays attacked... They are extremely easy to hit because of their composure. I found A wings hardest to catch and to hit.

Not compared to the Rhyxirc. The Rhyx has one wepaon more then the FSP but a Ordenance less and can carry less mass, with the same or even bigger hitprofile then the firespray.
bout the convergance... that depends on ur flying! A vertical lining with ur target will make you hit with all weapons problem free!

Don't underestimate Ryhk, I can take heaviest equipment on board. And in frontal attack, my globat hit area is much smaller than the one of Firespray. Same can be said if you attack from the rear. My only disadvantage is that I am very long, I am vulerable during turns. And Ryhk looks like a V12 from 1930s.Firespray doesn't looks like it can fly in atmosphere 8(
