Dear all,

Please forgive my ignorance, but wasn't sure where else to post this observation. I serve with the UK Armed forces, and have been away for the last few months. I have however continued to pay my monthly fee to keep my account alive so i can continue playing. I last logged in late oct / early nov and have been doing very well as an armoursmith / merchant. I play on the Europe-Chimaera server, and am shocked at the lack of players around. I remember before a major attack on Anchorhead EVERY night at 10pm (GMT) and masses amounts of various items forsale on the bazaars. Has everyone gone into outer space?? Have things changed that much? Am I now on a redundant Server?

Any Advice / Help would be much appreciated

I'm not on the Euro servers, so can't really speak on that. But on Bria, it's mostly the opposite: space is the vast emptiness it should be, and the ground is packed.

FarStar is not as full as it used to be, people are getting sick of the rising Jedi levels and the lack of proper content in the game and are switching to Wow, EQ II or CoH.

Some people come back.

Like someone else said, it has more to do with the release of World of Warcraft, Everquest II and City of Heroes than Jump to Lightspeed.

Welcome back. Glad you're safe.

Heh, the combat upgrade had better be pretty damn good to lure me out of space.
Otherwise, ill cancel SWG before i play anything on the ground other than some crafting profession.

Most servers(and I mean most servers) are just a shell of their former selves. Radiant is one of them as are others.

Dosen't matter what day or time you log in, the outcome is always the same, practically empty servers. Both the ground and space are the same= empty & dull.

All you see are a few peopleand the usual annoying spamming on their usual afk pedestals, nothing else.

But its been an inevitable outcome perpetuated by the constant poor choices and decisions made by management. They should of listened to the cries of the paying public in many instances but they didn't.

Now they're runnning to tell people of the upcoming changes (usual repeations) which we've all heard countless times before.

Its come back to bite them good and I for one am glad it has. I hope those teeth dig in real good.

At this months end I'm gone as have many others so don't be surprised the place has changed so drastically in most places.

The devs already felt the bite, and it was deep. They started 2005 off right, and as it all seems...are progressing in the right direction. Just took some motivation

Ok the part in bold I disagree with 100%. The problem is they DID listen to the cries of the paying public, and the paying public was crying JEDI JEDI JEDI. Had they done what would have been good for the game, fix combat, add more content, fix broken professions, instead of spending about a quarter of a year making it so everybody can be a jedi, the game would be in a much better state than it is now. The problem is the devs/managment gave people what they wanted, not what they needed. Often times what we need is different, and opposing, to what we want.

Well, I for one don't think the jedi part was the reason forsoe constant taking one step forward and two back.

If you notice the majority of the people who complained about everyone being a jedi are the ones who themselves had unlocked before it was made available. I said the majority.

They had it so now they didn't want others to get it, it figures!

What I meant as there were/are many instances where people would complain about certain things and it would fall on deaf ears. Instead all we ever got was promises, promises and more promises. The only difference was they would put different people with different titles to come on with the same promises time after time.

Now after all this time they start on it but knowing their track record its doom to fail from the start.

This game had the potential to be the greatest game ever but has fallen short.

Jtl was supposely swg savior but that too has fallen short. They should of had sense enough to see that once you hit master pilot there isn't really anything to do. Just one the short-comings courtesy of management.

Reason enough for the current collection of empty servers.

Starsider is, at least the rp population on it, pretty busy. JtL hit player cities hard, but after the first two month craze people are returning to roleplay, and space pvp is picking up.
