I been killing stuff like crazy in yarvan, lok, danthmir, dantooine, tier3,teir4,teir5, and all im looting is junk. Im talkin mostly lev 1-3 stuff with an occasional lev8 67 speed engine, lev 8 armor with 600 hitpoints. Even went to kessel and out of 20 ships only 1 or 2 gave loot. Is there any good loot out there and where is it? am i doing somthing wrong?

Tier 4s will give loot ranging from L1 to L10.
Tier 5s will usually give loot ranging from L6 upwards.
Typically, unless you're looking to equip a Master-level ship, T4s are your best bet as you get more mid-level equipment you actually have a chance of fitting...but you do end up getting a lot of crap interspersed with the good.

I just found a good spot. Its giving me level 3 and 4 loot. Hyper into Tattoine at the ( cant recall the exect name) Dune sea or something. Look at the residents and thret indicator on the hyper map, and it will say Hutts and High. You have to have a good ship though, because you will literally run into a cloud of tier 1 hutt pirates, tier 1 Black Sun Pirates, and Commarce raiders with a few tier 2 thorwn in.. I spent an hour there the other day and made out with a 150k (by chassis dealer rates) in loot.

Yep, even as Master Pilot I spend some time there, hoping to loot some good lvl 2 and 3 components.

This is a good question, I am a master Privateer, and figured I would work on getting a new gun or reactor, so I went to kessel and after being there 3 hours, I had looted 4 junk peices
So I went to Kessel......even worse
So I flew back to Theed and got a duty mission destroying blacksun fighters. I went through the entire duty mission of Teir4 and Teir5s and only looted about 14K in credits, and a sinlge teir1 reactor....
A buddy of mine spends 95% of his time in Kessel, and has gotten a few good peices, but still noticed a huge drop in loot, and what he does loot is mostly junk as well. He used to get 5+ good loot per night along with a bunch of junk, and now sees 1 or 2 good, and a handful of junk.
The difference between thispatch and the patch before is night and day.

hehe I went to kessel today for the first time, rumbled with some rebels for a few minutes. got about 2 kills and 3 assists with AI. I left with about 2 level 8 peices of equipment and one level 10 reactor.

That's been my experience as well. I constantly get level 8, 9 and 10 parts. 
I don't have FS luck, but it sounds like some people's luck really just sucks. 
Try getting FS Luck next time Phase 3 is around.

There's definately good loot in the game. You have to be patient and lucky. My philosophy in space, if it's red and moving. Kill it.
Found a few good loot myself.
- Lvl 9 reactor with 27k energy.
- Lvl 3 reactor with 14k energy.
- Lvl 9 capacitor with 53 recharge.
Don't forget to check the bazaar too

Might just be me, but since the last patch, the "tier appropriate" loot seems to have gone away. Last weekend I was getting mostly Lvl 8-10 loot from tier 5's and Lvl 5-7 with an occasional lvl 8 from tier 4s. Now the amount of loot seems less and tier 5's are dropping lots of Lvl 4 stuff with the occasional junk piece of lvl 8 armor. To me it seems we are right back where we were before the "tier appropriate" patch went in a couple weeks ago.

You only killed 20 ships in Kessel, and you expect something out of that little amount??? You're kidding, right? I've gotten lots of excellent loot in Kessel. But I killed about 20 x 200. Worth it.
P.S. What the hell is Yarvin?!?

I really like the light loots that made my Advance uber. An engine, reactor, booster, droid interface, and capacitor that totalled under 8k mass!!! Good stats on those too. Engine 61.1 speed, reactor 12k, booster 25 speed, capacitor 35 regen. I like the loot. I have made over 300k in one night on loot.

Tier V gunboats in Kessel have good loot. During one session hunting gunboats in Kessel I usually get several lvl9 or lvl10 guns, and a whole host of other high level components.
