Nor can I do Hutt or CorSec missions.

I am flying for the RSF, all the people I know fly for Hutt or CorSec. When I goto help them out I cant do anything because I can't fire at an imperial or RSF ship.

Here is another dilema I'm in. I'm trying to do the Flight Artistry mission and it has become obvious that it is impossable to do solo and it definately requires many people to do it. All 4 of my regular buddys have volunteered to help but the plethera of RSF NPCs and the of Black Sun pirates keep pounding them into stardust and the whole thing allways ends in disaster. I see no other way it can end when the RSF attacks us instead of the pirates.

Is this game over for me? Any sugestions on what I can do about these 2 BS situations?

See if you can get an imperial to help you out. I've helped a few of my friends that were RSF

Well I'll state the obvious and say it would have made more sense for you to play the same faction as your friends. Other then that get to know alot of imps.

If you chose Imperial (RSF) why would you think that rebels (CorSec) would be able to help you?

It's a valid belief if you haven't read the reports. I'm a covert rebel who plays as a CorSec pilot, and I help my Imp guildmates run their missions with no problems...same with my Hutt guildmates.

RSF is the only group from which I've heard this complaint.

Unfortunately, the way this game is designed if you arent a person that plays regularly with a group of people who are the same faction as you are or are good enough to solo to master you wont complete pilot. This is just how they built it and though I seriously question the intelligence of tying a players ability to advance a skill to their ability to group its how they chose to build their game. Considering DAOC lost alot of their playerbase doing this with their poorly thought out Trials of Patience expansion I was surprised to see another company do it, but its their product. Id be shocked if it works out the way they hoped though.

Im an experienced flight sim player and have solod my imp to 4/4/4/3 but the last mission is giving me hell. My guild has largely gone inactive lately, and the few around dont seem to want to fly at the same time I am. Ive spent hours in Moenia on Ahazi, even tried cnet for awhile offering 250K upon completion of my mission for a wingman with almost no takers at all. Of the two responses Ive gotten so far, one of them quit and hyperspaced out because something else came up and the other got himself blown up and couldnt help me with the mission. My lone attempt to talk to another imp at a starship terminal got me "I dont even know you, %$#@ off" (in those exact words). A week later, Im still stuck in the same spot. Granted, I can rarely play during prime gaming time so unless I can solo the entire tree theres really no reason to have the expansion at all.

Much as I hate to say it, the only option for someone not in a large active guild is to either get REALLY good or quit, there is no middle ground here.

Bullsh1t.

Go to your server forum, post that you are looking for wingmen. Its what I did, The Wingman Thread is two pages long with pilots willing to help others finish missions.

I have read the reports as well as experienced this in my own guild.

The bottom line is, if you train a different leg in the same faction, there are chances that you will not be able to help.

I've heard of many CorSec that cannot fire on Rebels.

Corsec can fire on anyone. Except Corsec obviously.

Seen it with my own eyes.

Y'know, it may be that it was their particular level within the pilot tree. Mine changed. I couldn't fire on Valarians during Tier 1, but I could kill Hutts. Then, during Tier 2, I could fire on Valarians and Hutts, but not on Nym's. Tier 3, that all changed. Hutts became unattackable.

Don't be so quick to dismiss a statement.
