You cant call this nerf a balance because as far as PvP goes anyone who has the 92spd engine will now have an unfair advantage over those that dont.
and since SW cant craft an engine that is similar to the 92spd engine there is an imbalance.
I for one am not happy about the change.
its a bit like saying the first 50 people in a class to get they're driving liscence get a porche anyone else gets a VW beetle but you all have to pay the same price.

just about to finish the mission tonight when they took the servers down. Now the mission that would have given me a 92.2 engine is now a mission that will give me a 79 engine.the 92.2 was low enough to where i could put it on my interceptor with little mass loss, now to get that speed i have to sacrifice insane amount of mass, instantly making my interceptor a flying rock with no shields or armor. Sad thing is that the people who have already finished the mission will keep their 92.2 engine...

It's a balance dude... I'm personally happy with it. Why? Because my x-wing looted engine runs at 79 now, and with droid commands maxes out at 1200 speed with a boost, and I can roll and manuver quite easily. You're imperial, get a flight computer, and load it with an engine overload 3, and get a neutral pilot for reactor overload 3. Enjoy.

You Rebels don't have mass problems with your chassis, so of course it's not an issue to you. But for us Imps, speed and agility is all we have got.

that's the biggest problem. oh well, i guess i'll live and adapt... if i can get through tier 3 with a 62 spd, 79 will seem insane.

Then you're not asking the right question. The response you want is "Anyone else want balanced imperial ships?"
And btw, I'm an imperial on TC, and if I can tweak my Tie Interceptor to compete with a friend's x-wing, then you can do the same.

eh, i guess it wasn't so much the engine getting knocked back... its just that everyone who has mastered already has the 92.2 anyway... oh well.

These engines will decay over time as people blow up or suffer damage. Unless of course people are saving them, and pulled out only for special occasions.
Anyone willing to sell their 92.2 speed engine? I wonder what people would pay for them now they are nerfed

Anytime there is a NERF in game it makes me mad.
It reminds me that the DEV's didn't completely think things through the first time.
Oh, and remember when CH's got "balanced" a year ago?
Balance means you take care of all sides to make them equal.
So the nerf won't make me so angry as long as they allow Shipwrights to craft better engines.

One question. Since Imp ships are supposed to be inferior and cheap, but how come impships and reble/neutral ships of the sameTier cost exactly the same from SW's? Aren't imp ships supposed to be cheaper?

they all cost the same cost they all take the same resources to make.
a tie/int for example requires the exact same resources as a Y-wing long probe

Ya know until the talk of the 92 speed engine came about I never realized it was a reward engine. I had thought I looted it while fighting. LOL
