Thread: JTL EBgames preorder & flashspeeder (international issue!)

Hi all!
i preordered JTL from EBGames
and the package was called the following:
Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed with Bonus!
i live in sweden and i did this preorder when i saw on starwars.station.sony.com
stating that EBGames & gamestop had this special preorderpromo (to get the flash speeder), i ordered 2 copies of the addonpack.
while surfing these forums i got confused and thought about asking customer service
on this issue,
Customer service told me that i should register latest tonight at midnight to recieve my speeders.
To get this promo i have to pay 30$ extra shiping to sweden! and 20$ customs for EU!
the game will ship the 26th, how am i supposed to be able to do this?
i have 3 game accounts and i pay a fair chunk of my money every month!
and now i was led to preorder and i get this thrown back in my face!!!!!!
i just cant belive this is happening! thats 50$ money (shiping & customs) i just flushed down the toilet!!
dont you people have any respect for your customers?
i even took a screenshot of my order stating: Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed with Bonus!

How can i input something delivering to me 26th!!!
i have paid a lot of my monthly income into this game! and i simply cannot tolerate getting ripped off of 50$ like this!!
i have my order screenshot to back me up on this!
a very gutted customer not knowing what he is supposed to be doing :/

You mean if the key code is not register today before midnight, the speeder is not available ?
I don t beleive it because international customer were stated the Beta cd would hold with the game and be send with it the 26th.
So there was no chance we would be able to input the code before november at least with shipping delay.

that was what i was told by customer service :/
its a very sad fact that they have so little respect for
the paying customers, i seldom complain but am raging at this fact,
and i feel like an idiot! those 50$ could have gone to vegetables
or a to put food on my table!!
this sucks major!

I preorder to in august, this is bullsh1t if it is true.
I can t believe they said international offer with speeder and when we receive the box, we can t get it ????
I will cancel my preorder, it is still possible and ask my bank not to bill this order in advance.

Hi,
I am in exactly the same position, I pre-ordered the game from Gamestop for the sole reason to get the flash speeder it said i would get if i preordered. If i didnt want the flash speeder i would have bought the game locally in Scotland for £30 bucks cheaper. I am utterly Gutted, I love this game and the thing I was looking forward to most was the damn speeder only to have it thrown in my face and MORE money out my pocket!
This is an utte farse, please if u have anyinformation on this subject please post. I just dont get it, im a paying customer, this is absolutely shocking, how can i register my key tonight if i dont have (or get) one till the 26th or even after the 26th. Im sorry i live in Europe but hey, I still pay to play your game and I was told i would recieve a flash speeder, c'mon whats the deal, GUTTED!!!
In all my days of palying this game i have never once complained, because i love this game, however this has left a bitter taste in my mouth and a wound that will not heal!!!

my order is already credited so there is nothing i can do about this, i feel like an total idiot!
i cant believe they would do this to us!

And like you I had to pay twice the regular price because of the insane shipment fee.
This is really, really not serious, and I still think we will operate the key when we get the game fine.
The customer service didn t know squat and play safe IMO.

You have to have paid by VISA. Then they take the money only when they send, it is the law.
ANd you still have one month to retract this specific order.
Announce them you don t want it. If they ship it, don't pick it up. Tell the bank it was a malicious offer and what you get is not what was promis.
No way you are gonna pay for this lol.

I'm on hold with them now but I find it interesting that their hours of services are 8am till midnight EST. are you sure they didn't mean you had to have the ORDER in by midnight?

i love this game!
i could have gotten the expansion at my store (5min walk from my home!)
but starwars.station.sony.com clearly stated preorder at EBgames.com or Gamestop.com & get the flash speeder!
i made sure to get it from EBgames.com despite the added shipping fee just to get this promised promo!
this has also left me a very bad feeling about playing, i can stand the ocasional bugs or malfunctions in a game
all of that is expected, but to pay additional 50$ for nothing is tearing me apart!! i feel awfull for this ://
at least they could have said this before telling people to order!

i put my order when EBgames still had the promo availiable,
a while back and i even made sure to take a screenshot
of my confirmed order.
nowhere was it stated anything about a deadline,
only info was that it would ship 26th.

OK, here is the full story.. YOUR GONNA LOVE THIS!!!
If you ordered from EB GAMES as recommended by SOE.
If you are not from the the MAIN United States (i.e. if your in Hawaii or Alaska your screwed)
YOU WILL NOT BE GETTING YOUR BONUS DISK WITH THE KEY FOR YOUR FLASHSPEEDER!!!
They have already been shipped long ago!!! Anyone international or Hawaii or Alaska gets NOTHiNG BUT THE ADDON!!! NO FLASHSPEEDER BONUS.
That was told to me and confirmed with EB GAMES just now.
This promotion was ONLY FOR AMERICAN CUSTOMERS AS TOLD TO ME BY EBGAMES at 9:30 PM EST Oct 22/04. The rest of us who are obviously worthless are not included!
