lol! I want an a-wing with fins

but yeah, what is the deal with rehashes of current ship models. Thats been done to death by people in the old X-wing series games. There are tons of resources out there with so many ships from the star wars universe, pick one of the various books up and actually add something star warsy to the game.

Some of the very people on the staff here wrote those books even.....

Add more ships to JTL, not just player ships but the ships we encounter in space. Right now it is all the same types over and over again. When you go to a NPC city you can watch all those different shuttles, transports and other types of ships fly over head. Why arent they in space ? Surely there is more than 3 types of freighters in the galaxy.

Toss in the Cygnus Assault Gunboats from the X-wing series, the Skipray blast boat, cloakshape fighters, there are so many great fighters. Look back at the last great star wars flight sim, X-wing Alliance. They took so many of the established ships from the movies and the RPG and novels for use in the game. Get some of the Totally Games staff to come over to work on JTL. These Wing Commander guys need help from the real space sim pro's.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the pictures..."oh goody, they added fins to the ships we already have." Very uninspired, and outright lazy if you think about it. Except for the TIE Interceptor, which they repainted. I hope none of the devs stayed up too late for that extra detail, lol .

The E-Wing wasn't introduced until well into the New Republic, so it's too far into the future.

I can understand if the devs don't put in the TIE Defender. That thing kicked ALOT of ***. It is the very definition of the ultra rare superfighter from the X-Wing series of games. I fear that if T/D's are put in, they will be Nerfed three times as hard as the AT-ST. Then there's that flying arsenal called the Missile Boat! WOOOSSHH!

The X-Wing series had tons of starfighters available without including superfighters like the TIE Defender. The Imperial Gunboat, Cloakshape, Skipray Blastboat, Planetary Fighter, Patrol Craft, Scout Ship, *cough* Lambda Shuttles, Imperial Landing Craft, etc. I really could go on.

As for the modified fighters... fins, eh? /sarcasm I'm holding my breath.

More Prequel stuff, eh?

I foresee seeing more Jedi Starfighters and ARC-170 starfighters flying around than stuff like X-Wings and A-Wings. Another slap to the face of Lady Continuity.

Yea there is also another thing ingame that should be ultra rare and does kick alot of ***......

I agree that there should be more ships then there is now and that are being done in the RAGE OF THE WOOKIES...why is it when i say this i have to use a deep voice and say it like some 70's sci fi movie hmmmm.....

Id be more happy about it if they had SS of Stormtroopers escorting a wookie thats been shaved and wookie only has hair on his hands , head , and feet.

Indeed. We're still missing a ship or two (a third Rebel ship, the minning ship...). We'll probably get more.

But yeah, I was disappointed to no new Rebel/Imperial ships... just ones with fins. La-de-da.
But... if they make a higher-mass B-Wing with fins and better control, then I may not complain.

New ships:
- Mining ship
- Jedi Starfigher
- ARC-170
- V-Wing (maybe)
- Belbullab-22

I count 5 certain new ships right there, with a possible sixth new ship. That's MORE than I expected from this expansion.

but V-wings are also way ahead in the timeline, they came out the same time as the E-wing did.

You are probably confusing the V-Wing that is established in the EU (the atmospheric fighter) with the one that is apparently being introduced in EPIII. They are actually two different ships, and it certainly won't help to alleviate a lot of the confusion that we already have in the Star Wars universe .

If these modified ships have more mass than the regular ships I'll take em! I am constantly fraustrated with not being able to put my best stuff into my single player ship.
