anyone else finding that because of the lag in space now, ships move all over their screens and they can no longer do any single space missions? I cant even gun dosnt a teir 1 because its zipping around me like its a hummingbird.

Anyone find a way to help fix/ease the problem?

I sure as heck am. Enemy ships were impossible to draw a bead on. They were instantaneously changing direction and speed at random. I sure hope this is a side effect of lag and not an "intended" upgrade to the space AI. I did a mission in my B-wing and I nearly threw my moniter out the window last night.

However, I have never, never had lag in space before so I am not sure why it would all of a sudden be happening now. I am glad to know I am not the only one this is happening to, though.

I never ever lagged in space either myself. and Naritus has never been a very populated server, even at launch, I am seeing some new players, but not a whole lot. but lag is the only thing I can think of to explain it.

Its RotW, you have to hyper space to kashyyyk so theres alot more traffic now. That my opinion anyways. Should probably die down once all the hype is over.

it's because half of the missions spawns don't go away. Tack on the manyasteroid pieces that refuse to disappear and the many other things cluttering the area and you've got lag like none before.

This is all true and one more thing.
The DD expansion reset all my graphics settings I made at the launchpad to their highest settings.

I played a whole day before I discovered that and when I changed my settings to what my system could handle things got a lot better.

oh, the graphics were set to max on my machine to begine with for both ground and space. but I already tested turning them down to the min levels, but that didnt help. Its defnatly server side lag and not client side lag. Sadly there is nothing we can do about that except hope it gets better.

I just feel really bad thou, because I really enjoy space and I help a good deal of people on my server with missions and such, now I have to tell people I cant because the lag is too bad.

This would make sense.

I have the same problem; ships flying around performing unimaginable manuevers at lightning fast speeds, then rubberbanding backwards across my screen. This makes space completely unplayable for me. Because of this I cannot gain access to the hunting grounds on Kashyyyk.

That's pretty lame, part of the ground game and themajority of thespace game is unplayable for me. Then again, all I've tried in space recently have been quests which have all lead me to Corellia / Talus or Kashyyyk space, so I don't know how the lag is in other systems.

Much less than the three you named. Do the mining quests and you'll notice a huge difference.

im getting the same thing. im doing my tier4 missions, and i can waste a T-4 ship in 3-4 shots easy, but getting those hits nowis taking me minutes. on a freighter escort mission that was constantly spawning T-4 tie-advanceds, i was unable to kill hte waves before the next wave, and had to disabled them. i STILL barely managed it, and i really dont like having to sarcifce all the loot and xp from disabling at least 100 ties during an hour long double-escort.
