Now that the NDA has been lifted, does anyone have an answer?

I recall in Shadows of the Empire flying around and firing a bow (front of ship)-mounted gun, but then I guess I remember flying a YT-1300 a few times and being able to do that too

edit: ohandbtw, I was informed by a friend that the space mission to retrieve your yt-2400 is insanely tough, as the lord cyssc one in the Rage of the Wookies quest series, after the blackscale, which is most likely why you won't get an answer, there are no dedicated space testers on beta, because there is no new space sector .

You're probably right, I was just really wanting to know; so far this is the only reason I can see for buying this one...

The quest is bugged, no one can currently get it. Don't listen to your friend.

And I doubt the YT-2400 will have a pilot-controled weapon. Though it would be neat...

I doubt it will have pilot controlled guns. If it does, its mass will have to be low enough to exclude it from using the new POB-only components. If it does have pilot controlled guns, and it also uses POB-only components, it would be the new top fighter in PvP. Even with POB handling, a single player ship with a POB-only shield and a POB-only engine and booster would have a massive amount of power.

Someone has it now but can't be bothered to let us in on any info.

I'm not looking for a walkthrough, just certifications, pilot controlled guns, and if it's a schematic.

I support removing combat classes if keeping them in results in a "dumbed down" game
- I support Devs that know how to design a game

Yeah, for a lot of us that play more in space than on the ground, this is about the only thing this expansion has for us. Sure would be nice to know if it's anything more than a re-skinned YT-1300 (or any other POB for that matter).

Come on, it wasen't that hard.

Easily do-able with a wingman, possible solo with a couple of practice goes.

I know this will make me the black sheep, but I personally hope that the YT-2400 does not have pilot controlled guns - not until the Nova Courier, YT-1300 and Decimator can fire their turrets from the cockpit at least.

That's good to hear! I've been able to solo almost everything at this point (not always on the first try...).
