do i have to complete the quest to use it? or can i just get the deed go back to reb and get4xxx and be able to use it? or do i have to actually complete the quest?

You have to complete the quest up to the point that you recieve it from vader to use it i believe.

Okay, i wuz a rebel pilot and went imp to do the quest....... I've got to the part where i've been given the deed for the starfighter.
Now the question is... Do i have to do that last mission he gave me to fly it... since hes already given me the deed, or can i go back to rebel and use it already?

not sure, but why not finish the mission anyway just in case, its not hard

well.. i didn't wanna because then i have to bug my guildy to come out again to help me... i tried to do it with him before... but it wouldn't spawn while i wuz in my yacht... and i tried to speak to the imperial pilot in bestine, and he won't give me a startership (So i'm probably gonna have to buy one)
Wuz just trying to avoid some un-nessisary things, thats all.

i had two of my buddies who are freelance master pilots pretty much do the space part for me cuz I had my tie fighter and would have gotten ripped apart. You can always try getting an Imp or Freelance ace to help you, or do waht i did and jsut stay back and watch.

Yeah, you have to finsih the quest, and if you fail too many times the JSF poofs and your parts go back in the inv.
Truth:
No Actually, once he gives it too you you can just drop imp.

dont listen to these guys, you dont have to finish the quest. once you have the deed just abort the space mission while your on the ground. then unpack you ship as usual. i did exactly this and have been flying the jsf as a rebel pilot for over 2 weeks
forget the dont listen part, the guy above me is right, i just didn't notice the dark lettering.

One thing: if you don't finish the quest completely, then onthe seventeenth time you take your JSF out into space, Darth Vader will spawn in his Tie fighter and attempt to blast you out of the sky. You can survive this by mastering the Smuggler's Alliance pilot profession. This will cause Han Solo to appear with a mighty "Yah Hoo!!"after Darth Vader attacks you. Be sure to try to get the Millenium Falcon in between you and Vader's ship so Han Solo will aggro on him. Because Han Solo doesn't shoot first, he's a good guy.

Quick question about the same thing,
Do I HAVE to got 4333 in imp pilot to unpack it or can I just drop imp pilot and unpack it once I'm 4333 reb?
This is the first time I'll have unpacked it by the way, not the bug where you deed it and cant get it back after you switch.

Here's a real answer for you, and very important - if you don't unpack that deed before dropping Imp and going rebel again, you may not be able to use the deed at all. It's a current bug that will tell you to do the quest first.
So, I'd get at least 4/x/x/x in Imperial pilot, unpack the ship, and then decide where to go. And never ever deed it.

Really, I didn't have that problem...I dropped IMP immeidately and had rebel 3-3-3-3 by the end of the same day.
