Thread: anyone know which rebel squadron is easiest, middle and hardest?

i have an imp and a neut pilot and i am doing a rebel pilot too. i need to know which squadron as a rebel is the easiest, the midrange and hardest. i have to redo both the imp and the privateer as i picked the hardest on both by accident. not fun when you are 2 2 2 2 already on both.
btw, im a shipwright and i want to fly all 3 types to see what quality components i can make to service all 3 ship sets. (i have many accounts so i can do this all at once)

I'd recommend the Crimson Phoniex out of Tatoonie as the easiest.

how high up are you in crimson pheonix? im not worried about tier 1 or 2, but i dont want impossible tier 3 and 4 missions.

cmon, guys, some input please. i need to start the rebel pilot asap and i need guidance.
i dont want to make the same mistake twice.
one VERY NICE guy said that crimson pheonix is the easiest rebel squadron.
i read elsewhere on this forum that vortex is the hardest. i read all the posts going back 9 pages worth too. no other info on rebel squadron difficulty.
please help me before i strike out again and have to nerf a FIFTH PILOT. (my friend has 2 also and we are NERFING 4 pilots total that are all 2 2 2 2 or 2 2 2 1)

I took Crimson Phoenix by random chance, and so far there has only been one mission that I had problems with (Tier III, Mission I, same as everyone else). I can't speak for the others, but at this point I launch with the expectation of coming back without needing repairs. So with the exception of the first Dathomir mission (which would have been easy had it been the second mission, and I'd been able to train Equipment C), I can't imagine this being much easier.

ok so far it seems that vortex is hardest. that was clear before. some say crimson pheonix is easy enough and someone else says that tier 3 crimson is rather hard.
one said that havoc (tyrena start) was soloable to 4 4 3 3. that sounds good.
i can solo 5 tier 3's and 7 tier 2's with the ships that i make on privateer 1 2 1 1 without much problem. (thats taking the destroy mission to the very end. i do that all the time now)
ok so the current wisdom is havoc tyrena is easiest, crimson mos espa is mid and vortex moenia is hardest.
any other thoughts out there. i can wait a day as i need to move my friends' privateer over first.

as long as i am on the subject, from what i got elsewhere here the imperial and privateer goes as follows:
imperial easiest is black epsilon talus, medium inquisition kaadara, hard is storm bestine (i have 2 pilots here)
privateer easiest is rsf theed, medium is corsec coronet and hard is smuggler mos eisely (i have 2 more pilots here)
currently listed for rebel is easiest is arkon's tyrena, medium is crimson mos espa and hardest vortex moenia.
you all agree on this?

Im Crimson Pheonix and i did 4,4,4,3 solo just needed help on last mission before being able to train 4th box.

doh.. i'm a 3343 vortex. i had to have help w/ 2 of the tier three missions, but i solo'd the first tier 4 mission. /shrug

Vortex definatly seems to be the toughest. While the missions in the others are similar, the Vortex missions seem to run us into tier 4 and 5 static spawns. That's not to say that they aren't soloable, however I will say the first Tier 4 mission is pretty tough if you can't get behind the main pack of ties and follow them till the mission is completed. (you die pretty quick if you can't get behind the mob.) There's also a Tier 5 Agressor in the 2nd mission that will rock your world. Soloable, possible......however I've helped on these comparable missions for the other two squadrons and they're significantly easier....
(naturally we have the coolest storyline, so ours would be tougher lol)

i have started out of mos espa. i am on my 1st tier 3 mission. it makes me sad. at one point there were 6 tie fighters and 3 tie bombers on my y-wing... at the same time. it is... hard. yes.

just here to confirm storm squad as hardest of imps... u can solo yes but takes a lot of tries... stuck on 3322 but getting closer everyday...

Right now im 4/4/3/3 , im about to be 4/4/4/3 in about about a good hours worth of duty missions.
As so far ive managed to solo every mission thrown at me. But thats not to say their all super easy by comparision to other squadrons/factions. A couple of them i got REAL lucky and finished it only by shear luck. I dunno how other people do, but thats how ive been doing. Teir 4 missions seem about on par or slighly less in difficulty then teir 3.
