Ok here's my idea :
There will be a HUGE starport made only for player cities, itwill have a hangar and it will be able to hold 50 max ships at once(we will be able to see all the ships parked there and we can also repair our ships there too), it will show everyone's ships that is parked there, there will be ships in the hangar that have ladders leading upto the cockpit or ramps/walkways and you could go into your shp from there and look around it's interiorand considering that the devs are trying to cut down on lag we could have a button(where the leave ship station or holodisc trainer button usually is) and we would be able to see our ships launching up into the sky like the way transport shuttle do from shuttleports/starports then we would have the loading screen for it. And for people that dont have ships specifically the newbie players we could have a transport shuttle coming every 5 minutes and it could take you to the same places the npc city starports can take you.The starport will be built by architects and placed by politicians like other places and there would be droids in the starport that would be able to repair different ships considering the damage on that ship. This would probably need lots of resources but it would be worth it.

that could be really great perhaps they could make a new lvl for cities in order to make it possible.

Cool idea, but one thing. Make the starport only usable by residents of the city.
I wouldn't want one in my city with 50 non-residents taking up all the parking spaces.

Local-only Starports would make sense to me, I think. Since so many PAs base their opperations out of the town they formed, it's highly stupid/annoying to have to land at the nearest Starport and then either shuttle or swoop over to your town. I mean, I see smugglers and other factional groups landing their ships out in the wild all the time.
Perhaps they should limit the Player Run Starports to snubfighters only (no multi-person ships, not counting those with turrets) if they want to drop a restriction on it, but that's about it.

I think I would rather see what I've been considering suggesting for a few days now: Mansion-sized houses (larger than PA halls) taking 9 lots (I originally thought 10, but that would kinda screw over people with a MP ship) that the owner can fly to/land on. When the ship is there, it could be displayed on the roof much like the TIE fighter atop a building in Talus' Imperial Outpost. Obviously it would have to take significantly more resources than a PA hall.. but perhaps it could be given more than the 250 object limit.

Actually in Beta Hangars were on the Bizarr as a category as well as Captiol ship bridges and some thing else pertaining to them. I would think this stuff is in the pipe.

i totally agree some ppl dont really go into the bigger "REAL" cities
they just stay in their player cities and craft or do whatever they do and it
would be nice to just to be able to get up out of ur house and walk over to the player cities starport and go up into space
and they should make a player ban thing on it so u can ban ppl and only citizens of that
city can be able to launch ships from there but they all can still go into the starport
and they should have a hanger bay so u can park them there and ur city can show off their players starship to noncitizens and with a cap of 50-60 starship should be able to parked there and one city should be able to have more than one starport like some of the big cities do

I would like to see this split into two buildings.
There is the starport building. You can catch the NPC shuttle and it acts like any other starport.
Then there is the Dock. An active starport is required for it to function. A max of 10 space craft can park at a single dock. You can have more than one dock in a city. You can set spots as public. You can reserve spots for residents of the city. Reserved spots require a declared residence in the city. A weekly fee is can be set for the reserved spots.

Well, lets picture why this wont happen...
I join a guild. I join a city. I land my ship there. I get kicked from the guild for being a spy for the (other faction), and I am citybanned. How the hell do I get my ship? I cannot redeed it as well without components inside. Now, think of the coding nightmare because of that...
Thats why this idea wont happen.

that is a great idea but residents should not have to pay they are a resident they pay taxes it should be the nonresidents that would come in and use it for free if you had it your way
