that would be easy you just get you ship deed back and the components
OR
it gets placed in a nearby "REAL" city and you get an email confirming the location of your ship

1. You cannot send the stuff back toinventory due to overloading issues. Bhuy Bhuy idea one.

2. You put the main thing as citizenship, but could be barred by cityban. Because of that, it would need cityban as a primary parameter, and then there would be the mess of residual slots used in the starport, similar to the lot issue now.

Face it, it wont happen.

Really great idea, but it might take too much room in the city, cause too much latency, take to long to create and blah blah blah. I thought that since it will be a player version, it will be smaller and less cool than the static. For instance, it might be 1 to four of those "shuttle ground squares", maybe a few lights and 1 to 2 or three (Probably just one) Starship Terminal. It will look like the NPC "camp bases" you see (without the binary load lifters). This will probably be really simple for the devs, and do its main purpose: Get us in space from a player city and let us use "Travel" to the playerstarport (providing it is on Naboo, Corellia, Lok, or Tatooine.) That leads me to say that I think that the travel part of the starship terminals should let us fly to the planets that are on the "travel routes" for the ticket terminals. I mean that if you were on Tatooine, you could fly to the travel planets that are already there. If you were on Naboo, you would get to travel to the starports on the planets that you get to using the Ticket Terminals. Woops, look at the time. Oh wait, you said that in the far future there will be atmospheric flight. Please make it come sooner if player starports will NOT be invented! That way you can "land" on where you chose to, the ship goes back in your datapad and then you are given a "marker". When you go to the "marker" you have the option to go the the datapad, go to your ship's radial menu, and select something like "take off" or something. This is my idea. Let's face it: it's hard to say that it will be a good idea unless it is widely wanted, possible to make, goes with the science of SWG, and/or the Developers decide on it. I must say that many of the Developers' creations have been spectacular, but there were several dissapointments. Not many cons, but a few.

Thank you.

ok good point that y they just make an option for all starports so you can "call" your ship to watever starport you are at kinda like a ship transfer

Cool idea, but one thing. Make the starport only usable by residents of the city.

I wouldn't want one in my city with 50 non-residents taking up all the parking spaces.

yeah thats what i meant forgot to put that in

Nice idea. Too bad that the devs showed resistance to similar ideas in the past...something about static cities becoming increasingly unusable...but big cities like Coronet are way overcrowded anyway (lagville)...that's another reason why it may also be a good idea to have player city starports to spread the population out a bit me thinks...another idea is to allow a max of 1 ship to be stored/parked in the hanger bay for every citizen to make sure that everyone can park a ship there...City Level should be 4 (minimal) me thinks.
