Now that I only have about 1 hour a day to play SWG I find the current JTL missions impossible to complete.
In the old days when I had 2-4 hours to play each day there wouldn't be a problem - it would be feasible for me to get a group together and complete the multi-part missions.
However, the grouping requirement is not suited to the casual gamer as it takes too long to:
- spend 10 minutes travelling from mission giver to spaceport (Imp Inquisition: Moenia Spaceport / Emperor’s Retreat)
then . . .
- find 3-4 other players/guildies willing to help for an hour (these missions are not soloable - I have played flight sims for the past 10 years, and noone I know ingame has solo'd these missions)
then . . .
- complete the multi-stage missions that can take 1-1.5 hours
DEVS, can you please re-evaluate the difficulty of the current mission system as they are not suitable to the casual gamer.
- I would rather complete 100 small missions (difficult but soloable) and least feel like Im progressing towards the goal.
Thanks, tylastar

Agreed.
Here's an idea I just thought up! It'd take away the looong annoying trip from Moenia to the Emperor's Retreat.
Space-quest missions shouldalso update in space.
What I'm suggesting is, once you've done a quest mission, instead of reporting back to the mission-giver (in my case, Inquistitors), you'd go to the sector of the planet you got your mission from. Once there, you'd be given a waypoint for a Command Shuttle - it'd be quite near the Neutral Space Station of the world you got the mission from. When you arrive, it's already there, and you dock. Now you've completed your mission, got the rewards & such.
Now you dock with the shuttle again, and recieve your next mission.

I agree with the original poster.
There are two simple things that can be done:
- Since the Tier 3 and 4 missions are multi-stage, have the system recognise the completion of each stage rather than the entire mission
- Make communication in space easier with a planetary system chat box; so that you can pick up allies in psace.

You know this term is beginning to look rather derogatory much like a racial
slur. As in such I think the coin has two sides, we can start calling you
'Power Rangers'.

I agree you shouldn't have to group, but for immersions sake think about it.
SW had huge squadrons of ships and it's kinda lame to think one dude's gonna take out 10 enemies...
It's a Massively MULTIPLAYER Online Role Playing game that you purchased...mulitplayer.
My guild has dwindled from around 60 members to about 10-15 active today, maybe 10 are in space.
So we're thinking of maybe hooking up with a more active guild so there will be more people online to group at all times.
Some solutions to help the grouping ease might be...
1. Have the DEV's enebleMixed faction grouping AT ALL TIMES. Seems that I can only help my Imp friends (Im reb) on an odd occasion.
2. Have the Dev's make us able to use Faction Points to hire wingmen. Why don't we get separate space faction and buy stuff with it? Maybe up to 2 wingmen.
3. Start posting on your servers board your hour of availability and see if you can make some in game friends.
4. Use the search function more often in game.
5, Turn on "looking to group"
6. Invite EVERYONE you see, even if you have to make a macro to /invite. If I ask 4 people a night to group, I might get one person turning me down because they're busy or helping someone else. We're all in the same boat and everyone's pretty receptive to grouping ATM.
I am a 4 3 3 3 Rebel Pilot and I have yet to have a huge amount of mission problems. I soloed a few tier 3's and only needed 1 or 2 other guild members to help me through on some of them. I did my first tier 4 with one other X-Wing and a noobish Y-Wing (he really didn't contribute much.)
Don't try and move forward too fast, your components and chassis need to be balanced. ie. I moved too quickly into my A-Wing and had to drop back to my X-Wing cause I didn't have good enough and light enough parts for my A-Wing yet.
Keep trying!

These are all good ideas.
Just one thing though. You say
"It's a Massively MULTIPLAYER Online Role Playing game that you purchased...mulitplayer'.
Absolutely right, 'MULTIPLAYER' not MULTIGROUP...multigroup. If I had bought Doom or Battlefront, then yes, my concerns would be redundant.

He was also in a squadron with those "dudes" before he made his run. There were at least 6 or 7 other "dudes" that I can remember.
Also, another "dude" and his "dude" co-pilot made sure that the evil "dude" didn't interfere.

Oh give me a break. Annakin was eight years old and have never flown a bloody spaceship before when he blew up the TF Mothership. 'Dude'.

rofl...
He soloed that thing by accident.
He thought he was podracing, did a couple of stupid tricks, got shot, and ended up in the cargo hold.
He wouldn't of been able to even get THAT far if the rest of the Naboo pilots (a squadron) werent keeping the droid fighters busy.
