Now i'm not asking for ubber loot nor this nor that. What i'm asking is for you to fix the ludicrous drops that occur off of some ships. Like I have read what you are doing for the ground could you please do for space. I think it is rediculous for a tier 1 ship to drop a lvl 10 part and then to turn around and have tier3,4, and even 5 ships drop 1,2,and lvl 3 ship loot. I was doing a run for some xp out in the dathomir system and came upon some death marked guys. I started getting smacked around by them and called in for reinforcement on the pirate trap lvl 1. Well the plan backfired when the pirates decided to rake me over the coals. Make a long story short I looted a lvl 10 weapon with 3900 max dmg off the tier 1 pirate guys after defeating the tier 4 death marked guys I counted up me space booty (I love a pirate/freelancer's life
) and found that I had looted only 1 high lvl component and the stuff I had gotten since taking on tier 3-4 ships in the dath system ranged only from lvl 1 to lvl 3. The only high end component being the lvl 10 item I looted. I please ask that you fix it so that people don't get dissapointed when they take down a tier 4 or 5 and loot a lowely lvl 1 component. Make it so that a tier 4 ship will give at minimum lvl 5 or lvl 6 loot that way the playing field is lvled so people will not hog tier 1 ships that other tier 1 folk could use.

how odd... i have never ever ever looted a lvl10 comp off anything less than tier4.. i agree that the loot is rather unpredictable at times. but no doubt this is to make the good high lvl stuff more uncommon than the low less useful gear.

Me neither. But I've noticed a lot of low level drops off of Tier 4/5 ships lately.

here is my part of the request.
Make Ship components crafted by Master Shipwrights comperable to dropped loot.
I fly an X-wing, and everything except the missile launchers and countermeasures
is loot drop, and its way better than anything any Master Shipwright can even come
close to crafting.

and the huge differences between Certification levels is just plain retarded.

Armor - 231.7
Hitpoints - 545.2
Mass - 8018.0
Reactor Generation Rate - 14217.0
Reactor Cert 7
Armor - 351.2
Hitpoints - 649.3
Mass - 23178.0
Reactor Generation Rate - 11012.0
And this is only the tip of the iceberg... I can understand that my x-wing is limited in mass,
but there needs to be some semblance of a standard Certification level stat ratio.
Or just simply let Masters craft better stuff.

What's even better is a level 10 65k mass capacitor dropping from an interceptor that only has 50k mass.

I doubt NPC ships have the same mass limitation as PC ships do.

Based on the amount of hits an NPC ship can take compared to a player ship, I'd bet T5s pack incredible shielding.

The l00t is bugged? never noticed 
I l00t a whole lot daily, but never had the problem od tier 4/5 dropping only lvl1-4 loot. I usually go home with a backback full of lvl 5-8 loot from tier 3
or lvl 7-10 from tier4/5....
I did however notice tier 1's dropping lotta high lvl stuff lately.

Imgragael, I disagree. What many Shipwrights want is to totally kill the market for looted and RE's equipment, they want to turn it into the ground game where the only loot you can get are a few CDEF weapons and the occasional upgrade componant(then if they get their way, they will spend the whole time complainging that they have to actually buy those upgrade componants from Pilots).
In 90% of cases, there are only three componants which compete with or beat crafted: boosters, reactors and capacitors. Three componant, out of everything Shipwrights can craft, to ask for anything else to be nerfed is pure selfishness in my view, you already got ALL engine drops nerfed because of the reward engine, and guess what, Im 10000 GC xp away from Novice Shipwright.

I do have to say that master shipwright craftable loot is comparable to looted components. I have seen experimental blasters with atleast 3900 max dmg. Plus the bonus is that they are able to reverse engineer loot and make them better. I don't know I think it is just weird that i'm looting like lvl 1-4 stuff off of these tier 4 and 5 guys. I mean my ship really got banged up battling those 3 tier 5 dark force guys. Would have been nice to loot a lvl 9 components or such off of them but I only looted lowly lvl 1-3 stuff and it wasn't even comparable to crafted components. To me nothing is wrong with the components. It just the loot drops that concern me and that I think need to be "Fixed"

Ihave to concur here. The other day I was doing the Black Sun duty missions for Rebels in Dantooine (all tier 4 ships). After killing about 60 or so, I had looted about 15 items, only 3 of which were above Level 3, and none above level 6. I head back to Corellia and ran into some tier 1 Hutt ships, killed them since they were in my path to the station, and looted a Level 8 gun. The higher level mobs giving crap loot while a low level mob (that I can kill in 1 shot) giving me decent loot is just messed up.

I think loot has been nerfed and this is why: In the begining the lack of SWs meant that players had to rely on loot to load on their ships. I remeber getting a ton of loot. And with the good drop rate you had a greater chance of getting some uber parts. I got a Lvl 1 Engine with 74 speed! But now with more SWs in the game they scaled back drop rates to help support that profession and the economy. However, its totaly borked now beccause the drops are so random. In the begining I got loot that was equivalent to that tier. On average, Tier 2 ships droped lvl 3 and 4 components, and Tier 3 ships droped lvl 5 and 6 comps, etc. Now, I huntdown Tier 5 TIEs in Kessel and the best partI get is a lvl 6 engine with YPRSpeed worse than most lvl 2 engines.
I have had friends of mine scavage Kessel and Deep Space and all that theyhave gotten for the past week is absolute crap. The last lvl10 componet I got was a Droid Interface with a mass bigger than the allowable mass on a TIE advanved and had a speed of 28. And before thatI got a lvl 9 booster that wasworse thanthe non REdlvl 5 booster in my Xwing.
DEVs at least need to restore the drops so that loot is right for that Tier. In the last publish they stated that loot on the ground would be betterfor higher level MOBs. Too bad that logic didn't make it into space.

Our PA SW looted a level 10 reactor with over 22k energy and only 30k mass. There ARE some level 10s that are amazing. There's just a lot of variability.
