I would like to it noted that the YT-1300 was at both death star battles and played a very important role in both. That it was used by the rebellion on a limited bases but used never the less. I don't understand why it is a Freelance Pilot ship it should be avaible for any player who happens to be a pilot. The rebellion was never picky about what kind of ships they used to fight the empire in the early years because they did not have the resources to be picky. I believe that the YT-1300 should be usable by rebel pilots which means they should be able to get certified on the YT-1300.

There's nothing stopping you from being a privateer AND fighting for the rebellion. You just won't be able to pilot X-Wings, Y-Wings, A-Wing, B-Wings, Z-95s and the Nova Crusier. Its about making choices.

In general, the YT-1300 was a freighter used by smugglers. There is an exception and that was Han Solo. All they are saying is that we are not the heros of the movies who can ignore basic rules. Afterall they were the Elminsters, the Conans, the Retief characters, we are the supporting cast.

The YT-1300 were sold by a company to anyone who had the money even if they are mostly used by smugglers, there are people who would use them as personal transports. For example Lando used it as a personal transport before he lost it to Han Solo and yes he was a hero but it is an example of someone using it as a personal transport. Also they are giving us the same model Lando used as his personal transport later as the Lady Luck. So if we are able to use a ship like that as a personal transport why can't we use the YT-1300 as a personal transport. As a rebel or imperial if you have the want to have a YT-1300 as your personal transport you should be able to be certified and able to fly it.

Han solo wasnt exactly a true rebel he just doesnt like the imperials that doesnt mean your classed as a rebel he didnt exactly fly any rebel ships did he? millenium falcon is a corellian engineered ship and it was altered by him because he is a smuggler and he only helped that rebels

what does that have to do with the fact thatit can be a personal transport and anyone who wants it should be able to be certified and use it if they are rebels, neutral, or imperials. If we want to discussion movie characters, when Liea married Han she is a owner of the Falcon and is completely rebel.

The ONLY ships that should be faction specific are the Imperial Fleet ships. ANYbody should be able to own theothers.....
If anyone remembers the EU, you'll recall how Han flew headhunters to help defend a smuggler base where the Falcon was being repaired, Han Solo at Star End I think? That would have been the VERY first mention of a Z95 Headhunter, and quite frankly I don't EVER recall seeing the rebels use one.
and X-Wings....gimme a break, you mean to tell me that Encom only sold them to Rebels? "Can I see you 'I'm a Rebel' discount card sir? Very good, here's your X-wing." yeah right!
I think there should be a pilot tree....period... and that the faction trainers just give out faction specific missions and flight gear. but you can't have it all so we'll see.

Incom did NOT sell them to the rebels, the rebels got the blueprints for the X-wing, i forgot how but the rebellion did not buy them from incom, they built their own

rebs cannot pilot a non reb ship
and the YT-1300 is known as a private ship. its a frigate thats its primary function.its meant to be used for hauling cargo.
The base YT-1300 in the game is gonna be a major dissapointment to anybody who thinks that as soon as they get it they will be able to take they're buds and go shoot something down.
the standard model should have no deflectors, hyperdrive, weapons or armour of any kind.
I dont understand what all the fuss is about, you dont see me complaining that as a privateer i cant pilot an A-wing, B-wing or lambda shuttle.

and everyone can use a blaster or a sword. But this is an RPG and you have to make choices. I think it is fair, the rebel and imperial tree is full of ships known from the movies, the neutral tree only got one.
There are a lot of things I would like to get: buff my self, heal with e-stims, tka meditate, master rifle for attacking mind, master commando for the dots, master fencer for defenses, building my own weapons, armor and food.
All your arguments are true and sound good from the logic. But they have to keep the game runing, and give everyone just a few things.
