That's great!

When they first announced the space expansion so many years ago, I was hoping they'd add this ship!

(It's the shadows of the empire freighter for those that don't know)

Now I just hope it's in the privateer tree...

Its prob going to be YT 2400 = Privateer Master, Lambda shuttle = Imperial Ace

They only said 2 ships though.. poor rebels.

- I support NO DECAY.It should be run like EQ . No 20k price cap on the bazar and everyone can craft. Its has worked for 7 years on everquest and there is no decay plenty of money and no crazy prices.

Decay is only good for crafteres and bad for everyone else. <>

I just wanted to let everyone know, I found a sound file for the YT-2400 ship in the game's .tre filesof the recent Publish 17. Along with the mentioning of two new ships at the fanfest and the fact that one of them is the Imperial Lambda Shuttle, this just begs for speculation.

in what tre did you find these in exactly? Id like to verify the YT-2400 for myself =)

It would suck so bad if it was privateer only. Enough to possibly make me go privateer...

More realistically, the Lambda was used by both factions, and the YT was used by... lots of people, so they'll probably be for all pilot trees at master.

The Lamda shuttle is used by the Empire.. Exclusively as far as I know. Remember the Emperor arriving on the deathstar on it? Ya.

And im with you on the YT-2400 if its privateer i may just go privateer and ditch my decimator.

Well, in all of the X-Wing games and I believe in a few novels, the rebels did use Lambas, so I don't think it'd hurt if it were multi-faction certed. The reason they needed to steal the tyderium was because it had the landing codes to get to the surface of Endor. I'm not sure I would actually use one, but it may be cool to fly around.

Thoughthe Lambdamight turn out to be the PoB ship you can actually PvP in, I'm expecting them to have 1 or 2 forward firing weapons with an aft turret, so, provided they are maneuverable enough, they could dogfight and have someone to cover against fighters coming in behind them.

Wookiees should be unalbe to pilot the Lambda shuttles. Remember, the engineers didn't have wookiees in mind when they designed them.

Why do some amny people like the YT-2400? anyone got a link to some info about it never seen it myself want to know why it's so liked.

Many of us played the Shadows of the Empire back on the N64. It was based around a character named Dash Rendar who was a smuggler like Han, but hade his own agenda, and a very funny LE droid named Leebo. Great game.
