On weapon skills when u go up the tree it will have a + to speed and accuacy usually. I was wondering how much this affects your actual shooting. For example my next carbine skill with give me +10 to speed and accuracy. I was wondering how much it increases ur speed of fire.

I dont know, but i can tell you my observations..

10 to any skill changes that skill from a shot in the dark to a reliabe skill.

For example

Mask Scent 10 : Almost useless

Mask Scent 25 : Very Reliable

Mask scent 35 : Almost invisible

Mask scent 50 : Im the imvisible man

Hope that helps

Im on my way to Master Scout Marksman and Med. and that would leave wm with what, 15-19 Skill Points?, well then i'd have to give up alot of skills to go Bounty Hunter...so if i give up intermediate rifle will that take out my advanced, expert, and specialist parts too, or will i just lose crap from intermediate skill?

you must surredner all skills dependant on the one your surrednering first so if you were to have engineer 4 and wanted to get rid of eng 1 you would have to drop eng 4,3,2 and 1 hope this answers your question snce BH is dependant on master scout, and master marksman.medic is what you have to drop.

Is there a way to get more skill points? They're talking about new elite-elite professions....how are we supposed to do these with only 250 skill points?

I think it would have been cool if we had unlimited skill points and then just had skills that we did not use and were not requirements for skills that we do use automatically degraded. I guess the best way to handle that in the code would be to have all experience pools, which have not been increased within a set timeframe, drain at some set rate. Then if you really did enjoy being a master entertainer, master artissan, master medic, master scout, master marksman you really could be. I don't know what they discussed in their game design meetings but I think putting a limit on the number of skills you can learn is poor design.

That's my .02 credits.

Not limiting the skill points would have been disasterous. What we would have is a game with no community and everyone was a cookie cutter carbon copy of the next person, but maybe a different race/gender.

Everyone would be a Master Doctor/armoursmith/weaponsmith/ranger/CH/BH/TKA/Rifleman/carbineer/pistoleer/smuggler/entertainer/etc. why? because if you could do everything in-game then why wouldn't you? Think about it, you wouldn't need anyone else. ever. period. You would be a 1 man/woman self-supporting uber-being.

Infact, everyone and their dog would be a 1woman/man self-supporting uber-being. Screw economy, we wouldn't need one. Screw Jedi, not even a Jedi would be able to stop an uber-being, except perhaps the uber Jedi who was also a Master doctor/weaponsmith/armoursmith/ranger/CH/BH/TKA/Rifleman/carbineer/pistoleer/smuggler/entertainer/etc.

And that my friends, would be 'teh lame'. IMHO

Man the 250 skill points suck in this game i'm almost master weaponsmith and once i get there thats all i'll ever be unless i give up being a weaponsmith. to become a weaponsmith you need to be master artsian to have the parts you need for guns there goes half yourskill pointsand theother half goes to weaponsmith, wow you mit have 6 left over just to hold a gun. What a joke on how limiting this game is now that i've been playing for a month. You should be able to have two major profession in the game not limit it. Even 300 still points will help some.

Agree Foxtrot - there rnt enuf points to have 1 mastered profession & 1 mastered fight skill plus very bacic support skills like scout exploration & novice medic and who wants to only ever craft or fight walking up hills?

This issue needs urgent consideration by the devsas ppl r planning on quitting the game - me included & I know four others - because of being boxed in with skill point limits.

Not talking about being uber at all -there are around 2300 pts needed to get all of the existing skills - they could double ours to 500 and there would still be interdependency inbuilt, particularly given a large chunk is eaten up by the 15 pts to get novice.

Q3PO said a very depressing thing in the CH thread - said CH's wont need novice medic once bioengs are given the ability to make medpaks for pets. What about the CH??????? If they expect us to fight for 3 minutes then spend 60 min trotting to town to heal & back again to fight for 3 more min there really is no hope they will address this & for me& many others who love many features of this game our only choice can be to quit.

Yea I wish you could have a few more skill points or maybe not have the lowest and crappiest novice skills being 15 points that a little high for being the lowest things in the game.
