Thread: SKILL POINTS

Foxtrot, with Master Artisan and Master Weaponsmith you have 110 skill points left... that is enough to master one of the six elite combat professions that doesn't require Master Brawler / Master Marksman. I don't know where your "6 left over" comes from but there's obviously something you omitted. And as far as needing Master Artisan, ever think of buying crates of Control Units or what have you from another Artisan? Make some deals and save yourself some skill points!

Depends on what you want to "do"... to know if it will "do" or not.

Try using a character builder.. there's one on alla's that's pretty good and other various sites.

Here's one I used, not sure if it's up to date with the latest skill mods, but it should be close.

How bout you look on your skill mods in game or on a decent character builder on most every site out there and figure it out like the rest of us had to?

If you want a list of creatures that's pretty up to date and their levels.. check here:

Sorry, but I (and countless others) get sick and tired of these posts... either use search or use the tools and information that's supplied to you in game or on countless numbers of web sites out there. How do you think those of us who know figured it out?

I have climbed the hunter and explorer skill trees andam now a novice creature handler. But I still get scout skill points from harvesting, and even from mask scent now.

What do I do with the skill points? Are there any place I can use them or are they just vasted? As a former EQ player I find the xp system in SWG very confusing.

Zent,

If you aren't going to go Ranger, then the Scout XP points don't matter anymore.

Just ignore them, and they'll get capped at twice your highest level of XP.

just a pondering but do you think with the addition of elite tier 2, or just with the movement of the game the devs will give us extra skill points?

i know at master archetech, master artisan, master image designer, the image design entertainer branch, and 3 skills in merchant(cause hey why not use them up), i dont have much to do

id like to add another elite artisan or maybe an elite tier 2 class if they add one fore image design, so maybe since i believe elites cost 59sp and base class costs 70sp

maybe give us an extra 80- 100 skillpoints with the expansion (or sooner)

this will give us a few more weeks of leveling for us that have used them up and will keep us more involved in the game

well lets open this up to conversation and turn it gold

I hope they don't give more skill points.

City Planners would have to be less devirsified than other 'artisans', but that's fine with me.

Adding another 80-100pts would just be a nightmare for the rest of the non-artisan community, where 330-350 points would let people master too many things.

At Master Architect, Master Artisan, Master Medic, and Master Surgeon, I got bored too. So I dropped Doctor and Medic and picked up Scout, Brawler, and Fencer. I'm having fun again.

If you've maxed out your skills and it's not all you expected, that doesn't mean you need more skills... just means you might want to change the way you play.

I also hope they do NOT increase skill points, the more points you give people, the more they are all the same. Keep the total points lower and you get more differentiated people.

I had a post from the recent "Player City" chat on Stratics but it got bumped off the screen from the 17 million other posts on the same subject...

Q3PO said that with the upcoming "Player City" update we would NOT be getting any more points. The skill points were based on a mathmatical formula that took into account the amount of points it would require to get ALL skills. In the beginning release of the game, players were given an additional "buffer" of extra points on top of what they normally would get from that formula. He said he enjoyed adding new professions, however, and thought it was a cool way to bring content to the game. He said with the addition of more professions they WOULD add more skill points eventually.
