What happens if you have been slain, on the way back to your corpse to get your loot, you are slain again before you get to your corpse. Do you then have two corpses (assuming that you had items the second time around) or is the first corpse null and voided with all your loot, and only the second corpse remains?
Or do all of your items get transported into one corpse?

You know, I thought I knew the answer, but..
As I understood it, you only get one corpse and if you are slain before you reach it, your new corpse supercedes the old one.
Having asid that... last night I was killed and just as I was "activating clone" my system crashed. When I rebooted and reloaded the game I had an error message and there was a new corpse for me in the cloning facility. The only waypoint I had was to this empty corpse... needless to say I was not happy. In desperation I went to the place I died and was lucky to find a pile of bones with my name on it. Had I not known the area I would never have found this second corpse since there was no waypoint for it. looted it and got all of my trash back and went to bed a happy coyotlgw.

you can pick your corpses in your datapad - unfortunately I had more than two at one time before. your loot remains on your original corpse.

What happens if I play a fairly high level song with an afk macro, and the song is changed by the leader? My macro has a /startmusic in it, and well, what happens if the songs don't match?

If it's just /startmusic, it won't do anything. It will just tell you something like "you can't do that while you're playing a song." If a bandleader changes the music you'll go right along with it without any repercussions unless you can't play the song they're playing. In that case you'd stop playing until they're playing something you can play again.
The same goes for /startmusic jazz; for example. If you're already playing a song, you'll continue to play that song and get a system message. The only way that you'll start playing a different song than the band is if you have a /changemusic jazz; in your macro. I'd personally advice against that, especially if you're going afk, because that will just annoy people if you're playing something different than what everyone else is playing.
In order to be the most effective and least annoying while afk, if you're going to do a macro, my advice would be to have the /startmusic first. That way you will always start playing what the band is playing. Then, I'd have the /startmusic starwars1 as your second line in case you happen to be the only musician in the band. And, if you are playing and another musician joins the band, they'll be able to play along with you. Generally, if you're playing your highest instrument you'll be getting maximum experience anyway, so the song doesn't matter. It's most courteous to allow for all levels of players to play along with you. Because, if you're afk, I'm sure you won't care what song you're "listening" to because you won't be there.

Really the only way you can end up playing something different than the band is if you're playing when invited to the group. Once you're in the group, /startmusic always starts you with the group no matter what you tell it, and /changemusic flat out refuses to work.
I usually tell people to stop playing before inviting them if I'm the group leader. Keeps everyone on the same song. If I'm not group leader, I just threaten to /stopband if they don't stop and re-start on the correct song.

I saw that one when I was playing Ceremonial when invited to group. I didn't really think about it at the time though, as it just seemed natural... but yes, I did automatically stop as well.

Hmm.... could that have changed? When I entered a group two days ago while playing jazz, I got a system message like "You have to play the same song as the group" and stopped automatically. Did this happen to anyone else lately?
