When the afk drones get too annoying I used to change songs to a higher song then they could play to get a break from the repeatative non-flourishing macros...must be a mean streak in me eh

LOL........that's an interesting response. (pink elephants eh?)
I don't think we will have this much detail until closer to beta or until beta starts......as per NDA reasons I assume.
I am mostly interesting as to how alot of the little things will shape up to work as they can have a big impact in alot of ways depending on how alot the small things are done in JTL

From the screenshots we have seen what ships you pilot will depend on which proffession tree you take. So theoretically one could be a Rebel but take up the Imperial ship tree to fly those ships.
It depends on the certifications.

I seriously hope that one of the ships will be the winnebego from spaceballs. That ship rocks

...a rebel pilot resigns from the rebellion? Does he have to re-learn all his flying skills in the neutral pilot profession?
Also, what happens if you're a rebel and owna rebel YT-1300 and resign from the rebellion? Can you no longer fly the YT-1300 or does it simply become a neutral YT-1300. Seems pretty silly that you'd have to get a new ship for it.

When you find the answer I'm sure you can let the rest of us know.
There's this problem. The game is not out, so no one would really know the answer to your question. Of course one could speculate. But that would not be factual.

Well I speculate that this unforseen design flaw will cause the universe to implode in a brilliant flash of pink elephants.

wont be much different, just probably a bit quieter, as there'll be more people in space, you can still carry on as normal, just not become a shipwright, or a pilot, or go into space

I believe the official response given is: "Without JTL, your computer will spontaneously combust and completely fry anything within 3 metres, so watch out non-JTL'ers!!! I have my revenge!!!!!"
Nope, only thing is that you cant go into space, or choose an ithorian or sullustan, or be a shipwright. It'll be pretty desolate on the ground on launch day

What happens if, say i get 3044 Merchant, clothe my vendors all nice, then decide that i need to drop to 3004 merchant? Do all my nice vendors stop wearing their nice robes and go dig out their nasty default rubbish?

No, they keep the clothes/outfit you put on them.
There are plenty of folks in both camps as to whether that is an exploit. I personally lean towards Thunderheart's explanation of merchant management being the only thing necessary (and yes now efficiency does change things, but not at the time of his statement) to "maintain" your vendors.
