Does anyone else think that you should be able to launch ships from faction bases. This would add a reason for puchasing them. It would also make it worthwhile to destroy them because that would help keep members of the other faction out of space.

Well, far as being able to launch from them, I don't have any reason to say no, but far as you saying it would keep opposing faction out of space...it would not, that would just and be an additional spot, and perhaps more convenient, since you can place them where you want, for the most part. But no matter what you do anyone can always go to space from the starport so it wouldn't keep anyone out of space.

But if they make you be able to launch from an additional place I'm pretty sure it would more than likely be something that's linked to the player cities and not the faction bases, mainly b/c only one person can own a faction base, so what, only the owner can launch from it? Would be better with city then you could say any citizen could, so it catches a much larger range of people.

Actuallybeing able to launch fromfaction baseswould be a fantastic idea, limit it to Tactical Centre and higher for believability reasons though.


I'd branch out to include places like the Imperial Oasis and the Rebel Base on Corellia to draw more people to obscure or seldom visited faction locations.

Perhaps adding a new faction structure, the Hangar. People could have their ships checked out and repaired / refitted and then they could be launched. Would be cool if it included decoration ships and droids moving around and working on them. Since the hangar itself would take up a large amount of space, it would have to be underground with only the bay doors and entryway coming out of the ground. The structure would be different for the imperials, with racks for the TIEs and a different layout based on their tech.

For takeoff and landings, only players of that faction (or those designated as friendly by the owner) would be able to select it as a landing site or use it to launch. It would still conform to the GCW base destruction rules but it would be an entirely practical structure. Unlike the current bases which don't really do anything except attract attacks from the opposing faction and provide terminals and recruiters.

What do i have to do as BE to bring down a base ? i have this lsit of codes in front of me and i am baffled

ya it is pretty much a matching game for us BEs the thing to do is run several tests with yourself. When under pressure you want to match as many digits as you get. I have been lucky enough in the 2 base take downs (i'm pathetic never done any more than 2) to match up to atleast 3 or 4 digits at once. It is a matter of taking 3 or 4 seconds to see how many you can match up in what row. Those precious seconds can be a life saver of about 10 seconds of misery

I have been disturbed by the number of jedi in CITIES of nothing but jedi. This is unacceptable. But with the non-vul base bug it is possible to lay bases around these cities so that the Storm Troopers/Rebel NPC's would give immediate visibility to most of the jedi grinding in the area.Just an idea
