Species:
There will be 2 new playable species. These have been correctly guessed by some mystery gaming website. Maybe we could come up with a list of guesses that websites have made......
I'll try to find it, but I read 8 people max on the YT-1300. It was something like IGN or Stratics, but I don't remember where. I'm trying to remember what the quote was, but they said that you could have one person piloting, two gunning, and up to five partying and dancing if I recall right. They also said that someone can sit with the pilot in the cockpit.
Asteroids can be destroyed, and they are REALLY destroyed; they do not generate shrapnel of sorts. Nebulae generate static bursts that can damage your ship. Those are from player observation at E3.
Edit: you also have the option of loading from your ship in one starport directly to another starport, and do not have to actually "fly" if you do not want to.

For the YT-1300...yeah between 10-20...as you need to be grouped to board it together
Im sort of hoping it may be more than 10 tho...hehe like get a fleet of these babies...all with 20 man groups...and assault a planet or station or something! hehe
And im sort of dissapointed that you can't dock with ships/stations yet...I do wonder if there are going to be any player type structures in space...like a few spacestations you can roam around in...I *DID* see some concept art of an inside of one of the stations on Lucasarts.com....and Im really hoping you can "dock" via a load screen to several stations...and that they arent just large static structures that fire turbo-laser bolts at ya (like coronet buildings...which fire lag at ya)
Btw...with coronet buildings...developers have hinted that they may make cities more interesting by making several theme parks...or events (not "raid" type) where like a Hutt gang takes over a coronet building, and players must enter and wipe them out....we could very well see this in JTL - as I heard it from a dev from E3...
Okay, my bad . . . apparently the max for a YT-1300 is 20 people, as it is stated in the IGN interview that it is players in your group, hence the max of 20.
It also states there that factional pilots can in fact fly neutral ships, but only if they have the appropriate skills, and they neutral ships will have different performance attributes than the factional ships.
