I was just sitting here for a couple of hours thinking hard about what combos I might put together. Now I'm just getting mad, lol. I was wondering if being a Creature Handler/Rifle Speacialist/Artisan Survey Skills/Weaponsmith is a good idea at all. It sounds good, but I was wondering if anyone else would have any other suggestions on what would be good. If it helps any I like fighting, but I also love building. Also I love having a creature as a pet; I mean you could tame a Krayt Dragon...Then you would definatly have some backup. I do realize though that leaves me between a rock and a hardspot because I know mastering all of these is impossible with the 250 skill points avalabile. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently pursuing the Teras Kasi Artist profession. The SWG Game Manual says I can only learn 3.25 professions, so does that mean I'm using up two profession slots (Master Brawler, Master Teras Kasi Arist) just getting to Teras Kasi Artist?

Since there are 4 skill trees per profession, does that mean I can master all 4 and it still counts as one profession? Some clarification and examples of Hybrids would be great.

The reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking about taking up Musician as a secondary role, which takes up Musicianship and Entertainment Healing at the same time.

go to this site and simply click on any profession u want to check and click master. itll assign all skill points for you

Take off the periods on either side, these boards dont allow us to post links as of yet.

Hope this helps

Ah I see. So technically, I'll have to learn all 24 skills in the Teras Kasi Artist listing to be a Master Teras Kasi Artist? So that means I'll have learned 1.25 professions (because I'll have the 4 prerequisite skills from the Brawler profession learned -- Unarmed Combat)?

if i want to become a creature handler, must i go through all the scout skills first?

and if so, may i surrender the scout skills after reaching novice creature handler and still

be able to continure with the creature handler skills?

To reach Novice CH you must first obtain the Exploration and Hunting branches of the scout tree ( you do NOT need Trapping or Survival). You cannot then surrender these Scout skills without first surrendering all CH skills.

Ok, so I've recently decided to start up another character and make him a BE/CM combo. But there aren't enough skill points for both, so I am asking on both this forum and the CM forum: Is it possible to be sucessful in the BE profession and not get master? In order to get both, I have to not master one of the professions, and not get 1 skill tree in that profession. Thanks for the help in deciding.

yes, but that one skill box is 3 more experimentation points, and another 25 points in dna sampleing, and the kimo/verrmok/torton/faamba skins.

oh and alot of times dna sampled by a non be master have better stats but a lower quality(and hence make lower level but better clone dna) that masters would want to purchase off you.

The easiest way would to simply not get the crafting line in CM. Your template doesn't have access to novice artisan survey and you might find it difficult to find the resources you desire.

A more common template for a Bioengineer would be MBE, MCH, prehaps some medical skills, and the remainder in a weapon of your choice, but if you want to go CM more power too you .

I would strongly discourage you to take the patch of BE and CM on the same char. As a Master CM and BE 4-4-4-0 you won't have a chance in making great meds because you cant survey for the super-rare resources you need for the poison/disease components. With the actual +1 HAM rule you would have only crappy weapons to finish your enemy of.

Additionally I think that you should only take CM if you are willing to master it. Additional to it you should take novice artisan to be able to survey. Then some weapon skill and you are all set for real fun
