Was kinda wondering something from the JTL ppl here. When JTL first came out, I picked it up and was having loads of fun. Even on dial-up it was smooth sailing, no lag and I was having fun. But since patch 13 or so, it has all changed
When trying to kill a ship, you follow it and shoot at it. You can see yourself hitting the ship, but the hits dont register. All of s sudden, the ships do physics-defying moves and whatnot and go every which way real fast. I was wondering if anyone else is having the aformentioned problem, or if it's just my connection...tho I don't think it's the latter cuz that used to run JTL smooth....
Any comments or suggestions welcome

Im having them too, and Ive pretty much ripped my PC and network part. Ive been messing around with it for about 5 hours now, and I can pretty confidently say that it isnt me. I used to play JTL just fine.

there is no way im gonna start changing my settings cause some minimum wage "techie" tells me its my fault. even computer reseller techs dont know their own models............there are toomany people experiencing this at the same time....same story too.
1) it happened after cu
2) its fine right after the server loads, then increases when more people get on
3) it doesnt happen all the time
4) some space sectors have it worse than others

yea when this thing first came out, it played perfectly, no matter how many ppl were in space, etc. After about patch 13/14 and especially after CU it is almost impossible to lvl or do anything in space...and many RotW quests happen in space and its annoying

It is definatly on SOEs end. I mean if the game is powered by lithium servers too, that would explain alot. Ever get the "too many searches in progress"? here on the forums?

I had the exact same problem until i noticed this thread
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Techsupport&message.id=223141
Disabling that fb spectrum on the motherboard helped and i have not noticed any sideeffects from it

How would a few settings on a persons motherboard cause enemy NPC ships not to record their hits? I have lit up several Black Sun fighters and even a ton of Tier 1 ships, and absolutely no damage to them.

the EMI reducer causes unsynchronised data between the computer and the host, you will not notice this in ping or packetloss.
You´r computer registers a hit but the server do not!

I would be more willing to buy the Spectrum Spread EMI deal, if I had issues with other games. Counter-Strike, Battlefront, BF1942..No issues there. How could EMI only affect SWG?
