Han is obviously a mechanic especially considering ESB...
Like all mechanics he doesn't have the ability to suddenly understand what's wrong with his system.
Look at Chewie he's obviously a mechanic also and he doesn't know how to fix the Falcon quickly.
Like all vehicles be they in Star Wars or in Real Life (Never played that game though), and so like all vehicles the Falcon is run down as Han uses it all the time, it's his home his car and his wife (until Leia of course).

i think the big reason why the falcon is falling apart is because han is a pilot/smuggler. he is not a mechanic. this is obvious in ESB.
He's not officially a mechanic, but he knowshis stuff. You couldn't fly something like that without some knowledge how to fix something on it.Which is another thing so cool about Han. He gets right in there and goes legs up, and gets a toolbox on the headbecause ofit. That's actually probably one of the most hilarious things in all of Star Wars... 'OWW!'

Well, I don't mean to flame, but you obviously don't have a clue about star wars lore.
Ok for education:
YES the YT-1300 is an extremely old ship. It is several generations of technology older than most ships that were around during the trilogy years.
The reason why it was such a good ship was not the chassis, so to speak, but the modifications that Han and Lando did to them (yes it was originally Lando's ship) . Han took it to the corporate sector and had a military grade hyperdrive system in it, put smuggling comparments, new weapons, communications and sensor arrays, amoung other things over the years.
The reason it sometimes sucked is that there were so many crosswired systems that they sometimes conflicted and caused things to short out and screw up (kinda likea certain game I play....)
I don't mean to flame, but you obviously don't know not everybody is a Star Wars nerd that reads every SW book, plays every SW game, has every SW poster, comic, toy, sound track there is. I for one play this game because I wanted to become a jedi and kill other people... If it wern't for that I would never of even picked up the game.
One last thing... SW is the movies not the books.
I mean to flame...why would you make a thread with 2 moronic assumptions in it that are blatently false then get pis5y at someone when they correct you in a reasonable manner and even showed the courtesy to say that they weren't trying to flame you...
Some people....
, sometimes I wish message boards had an IQ requirement...

I think I've pinpointed his problem.

And he's the guy that madea stop the flaming post...
To fix the Falcon properly Han would need the most important resource in the world, time. He doesn't have it. Making smuggling runs, trying to pay off Jabba, getting Luke, blowing up a Death Star, flying with the Rebellion, sealed in carbonite, more Rebellion flying, and so on. Don't have to be a SW nerd to figure that out.

Can I recommend "Jedi Academy"? You get all the thrill of running around with a lightsaber and force powers without any of the tedious and dull role play or profession grind. There's an online multiplayer game which has team games as well as individual games and there's a single player game too where you can kill lots of NPC characters too.
One last thing... SW is the movies not the books.
SWG takes it's inspiration from both the movies and the books (also referred to as 'EU' or 'Expanded Universe') which is why, for example, Dathomir and the Nightsisters are included. Previously they were only referenced in the post Star Wars novels (which, I hasten to add, I haven't read either). You'll also now find the character Talon Kardde hanging around the Mos Eisley cantina and he also was only previously found in the novels.
And to keep the post on-topic, in Episode II: Attack of the Clowns, there are three YT-1300s parked in the spaceport on Naboo which you can just make out. This obviously indicates that by the time of Star Wars and SWG, they are at least 20 or so years past their prime.

Way I see it the falcon is a old car, that you can buy for 1000 or 2000.
With some work and a new engine you can smoke a brand new sports car, that
sells for 20-30 grand.

If you want to be a jedi go and play jedi academy, its cheaper and all youo have to do to get a jedi is to buy the game...
And what about Corellia, Lok, Talus, Rori, Dathomir? They arent in the movies.. arent they starwars?? maybe we shall remove them..
