Thread: Theme Parks REQUIRED for pilots? Anyone else hate this?

My number one beef with the Tatooine Privateer arc right nowis the fact that when you complete a tier, you can no longer get duty missions from a previous trainer. You HAVE to go speak to the next trainer.
This has plowed me straight into a wall as a smuggler privateer on Tatooine as I am now being required to do the JABBA THEME PARK mssions in order to speak to my next privateer pilot trainer!! I must protest this most vehemently! The theme park missions are, I consider, relatively advanced ground missions. I am now stuck w/o any space mission options, ie, no way to earn money, but am forced to face off agaist 3 5k HAM tusken raiders to start with!
I don't like being forced into the ground game like this, but being forced into such advanced missions, requiring me to level several ground combat skills, is not what I bought JTL for. And don't tell me to group, because I WAS grouped, and 3 of us pilots got crushed by these raiders.
My main is a Pistoleer/CH, and these targets con yellow even to him. Inexcusable, forcingground game targets of this levelon JTL pilots like this!
Is this true for the other pilot arcs? Are you required to do the theme parks at some point? Does anyone else hate being forced to do this also?

The theme parks are not a requirement for JTL. But, You do have to have a good faction statnding with jabba in order to continue on. Try going oyut and killing stuff that give positive jabba faction points, then try again. But with Jabba i KNOW you have to have a good faction standing with him

I am not privater, but I soloed the Jaba park in2 days. First step, get doc. buff, drink a couple shots ofbrandy, did about half of his missions the first trip, untill buff was almost over. Day 2, get doc. buff, drink a couple shots of brandy....done. From what I understand, you don't have to do all of Jaba's park, just enough to get axcess to his palace, but you do get some pretty good loot as reward. Hope this helps, I to don't feel you should 'have' to do, but since you do at this time....

Actually it would be kind of cool if the ground game was "more" tied into JTL. I like the idea that you have to be in good standing with Jabba to get access to his throne room. It ties in the ground game to JTL, and makes the game more immersive. This is a good thing and should be enhanced. I would like to see the rebel/imperial theme parks more integrated. There's one mission for the rebel theme park involving the Millenium Falcon.. that would be a prime candidate for JTL integration.
If you really don't enjoy the ground game, then hire a PC mercenary to take along with you. Anyone with a decent combat profession should be handle Jabba's theme park easily.

i think its absolutely horriable that u have to do the ground game to do jtl...i have tons of friends that just hate the ground game and would sign back on for jtl if they could just stay in space except for the occasional loading and unloading of ships

The Imperial Inquistion arc also require youto partially finsh the Emperor's retreat quest in order to get to the higher level pilot trainers.

Ya it is terrible that you have to do the ground game to take part in JTL, I think if they are going to place the trainer in Jabba's palace they need to put it were you can get to it with out having to do the missions, especially for those people who are solid crafter proffessions and whant to do JTL but they cant because the stupid theme park is there gating them. A very bad assumption on the devs part in my eyes.

yeh, i agree. i mean, if you want to fly for jabba, you should be given a free pass into his palace without doing anything to earn his trust!!! he is a criminal and would have every right to accept any green flier off the streets without passing any stringent requirements. Don't want to EARN your way into jabbas graces, fly for the RSF or Corsec.
incidentally, as stated in the thread this was posted in: my girlfriend as a master tailor soloed jabbas without any buffs or food with a scout blaster at pistol 4 and a CL 10 gurreck. In fact, she also soloed the rebel and imp themeparks the same way (she did it since she needed the schematics as a master tailor)

Try doin enough mission to get to the first floor.from there you can stand at the entrance and see if you can target the pilot trainer guy and converse with him. i had heard you could do this to talk to Boba Fett to get access to the DWB.
i really like the idea of the ground game and JTL bein part of the missions.i have to hyp to Lok and talk to an undercover imp working for Nym. Adds more content to the game and doesnt just make it a "distraction" from the so called broken ground game.

got my ass handed to me though
.a yt-1300 and 3 or 4 x wings.im a lowly tier 1 with tier 2 equiptment.all the same it was a pretty nice touch.using the space game to do ground game missions.
