multiplayer ships need to be able to take much more punishment.

Actually with their payload of up to 5mil tons in mass they are quite easily to equip. I've made 109.9 speed engines, Top speed 52.9 boosters, 3k shield gens, 2.75k armor (front and back) and 1.4k caps for them quite easily. These parts are ungodly heavy but the multi's can hold them with their tremendous mass rating as I said. You simply need to find a good shipwright with good resources and have him hit his experimentation forge.

Ya but still they should have more then 3k shields and 2.75k armor more like 10k shields and 5k armor.

They are bigger then the gunboats or at least thats how I see my YT so they should be able to to toe-to-toe tanking the gunboats.

My YT don't last too long vs the gunboats though sad to say. And there should also be a dmg multiplier to the weapons on the MP ships.

If fighters can fit 3.5k dmg blasters or whateverthen either put 8 weapons on the MP ships quads so each tube is a weapon or a multiplier of 4 to the dmg.

Your still limited by the same energy reactors and HP on the shields though, so you cant just pile every level 9 component into 1.


What would be REALLY good is if you could divert power from inside the ship, e.g. take energy strait from the weapons cap or boosterto recharge the shield (and the other way round) etc. Thats if they dont give MP ships bonuses to shields which theyneed so bad.

Yes you can with 5mil mass you can. and the energy go loot a 30k+ and you should be fine.

I not only pile lvl 9 stuff in i pile looted 10.

/agree 99% but you have to make the mark V weaker or make enemies stronger.

Making new equipment would just complicate things, all they need to do is give boosts to shield HPs the way ships have hard coded settings for some engine stats. E.g So if you put a shield with 2k HP in it would just automatically double it in a MP ship.

Probably the simplest thing to do would be to just give the multiplayer ships dual shield and armor slots and have the stats stack. For example, if you loaded two 2500 hitpoint/15 recharge shields into the ship, it would get treated as if you had a single 5000 Hitpoint/30 Recharge shield in there. Armor would stack the same way. The next change they should make is to lower the time even further on level 9 and 10 droid interfaces. These interfaces are much to big to use in anything but a multiplayer ship, and it would give multiplayer ships another bonus if you could use the various shield commands at a much quicker pace than you could in a smaller fighter. The final thing they need to do is make it relatively easier for owners of multiplayer ships to get a reactor large enough to run weapon overload 4 and engine overload 4 on their multiplayer ship. My heavy blacksun fighter has more firepower than most multiplayer ships, unless they have two uber lvl10 looted guns in the turrets. Giving them the reactors necessary to run weapon overload 4 along with engine overload 4 would help to overcome that somewhat.

For the size they are it would make sence, almost every shot hits them and in PvP someone in a B-wing or X-wing can kill a MP ship ina singlepass and you have no chance of evading. A B-wing can rip up a tier 5 decimator in 2 passes, and compared to player flown ones the NPC "MP" shipsare uber.


Dual shields and cap would also work, but would need dual reactor to handle it


They could also make special turret lasers that work like flak to make turret aiming easier, they appeared to do this on capships in the movies and some ships in XWA (though it was only for effect in XWA) O_o
