from what i've seen of multi-player ships they don't seem to have the parts avliable to make them worth using over large group of fighters. i think some special parts just for multi-player ships need to be added or change the current parts so they improve when added to a multi-player ship.

What would be REALLY good is if you could divert power from inside the ship, e.g. take energy strait from the weapons cap or boosterto recharge the shield (and the other way round) etc. Thats if they dont give MP ships bonuses to shields which theyneed so bad.

With a nice crafted 25k reactor (or a looted 42k reactor yes they ARE out there) you can throw anything you want into a multipassenger ship, I had one up on the tarquinas trade forums a few weeks ago.

i would love to take my YT-1300 out to deep space but several hits and its gone.


i think increase the slots for shields and front/back armor to 2 or do just add a multiplier to it. either way, the bottle neck would be a uber reactor.

I don't like the multi-slot idea, because we'll have to get a new MP ship after they make the change. Why not just add some new craftable componets specifically for MP ships, like 25K shields, 15+K armors, and so on? But of course those components have to have mass in the hundreds of thousands or even a million+ range, so people can't use them on starfighters.

My take on this as a pilot and a shipwright, At master in the shipwright tree we should be able to build something like Mark VI components, All components should be powerful enough to make a multiplayer ship worth flying but weight like 200K + each in mass so no other ship other than a multiplayer ship with 5 mil mass could equip it.

I totally agree that something needs to be done to make multi player ships feasable. Seriously anyone that would pvp in a nova, decimator or YTright now, needs a grey matter transplant.

Just so you all know you CAN get almost that high of shields with the current system... let me tell you a little known trick.

Take your best two uber high defence shields (pre RE'ed) and a bunch of other shileds with good recharge, mass, energy. Get a droid/flight computer and get rebel extreme adjust front and rear. Go up into space on your MP ship with the first uber high defence shield equipped. Use extreme adjust front. Land. Equip the second uber shield. Repeat with extreme adjust rear. The adjust commands remain on your shields even after landing and removing them.

Using two reward Taim & Bak shields (2400 defence f/b to start with) and using only heavy adjust (not extreme) I created a 3800 defence f/b shield with 14 recharge. With these 4k defence shields you speak of and this trick you could make something with around 7k defence f/b. Maybe more...

This should work... unless they changed something since I RE'ed my shields...

Currently my Nova can take a beating from 2-3 tier 5 fighters without much difficulty, and can take down tier 5 gunboats solo if I had missles, but I am poor now.

Oh and for PVP I have no idea how they would hold up... but not too well I would guess unless it was in big groups or if I had some awsome gunners...

Attacked a SD with my nova and even with 2k shields it didn't last long my a-wing has 1.8k shields and that can solo the whole thing. devs need to change a few things.
