If they are aiding their friend in combat ... they need to be targetable as well. This is just like healing an overt faction member if you were covert.

/sign for a fix if this is the case.

They can fix this as soon as they fix it so a BH grouped with 19 other players can't all attack a Jedi in the same factionand no onegrouped with the Jedi can assist him combat wise unless they happen to be opposite faction of the Jedi.

There are too many BH's intentionally taking the same faction as the Jedi they are hunting just so they can group gank the Jedi and no one can help the Jedi unless they happen to be opposite faction.

TEFs seem to be one big headache

Looks like all this stuff won't be dealt with till the combat revamp eventually arrives. Till then ... do like most of us and don't PvP unless you like playing with broken toys.

Take some fun missions about 1,000 times or head on over to that new DWB they added and stare at all the red dots.

Today a friend of mine was attacked by 3 BH's who all had seperate missions on him, were both DJKs and i know how this guild of BH's opperate all imp with allimp jedi missions for no group tef. Anyway, we was fighting the 3 of them and i was doing all i could do to help him, basicly xfering force when a BH turned around and attacked me, im assuming it had to be a tef.We cleaned up the BH rather quickly after that, but point being the BH must have attacked me with a tef from xfering force.

Actually they can fix the original first.

The bug you are talking about is a factional bug ... I dont even know if its a bug since they based bh missions on faction.

If they did that, then this only make sense, but should be changed in the GCW patch right?

Let me share an example with you..

You are an "imperial jedi", and your friends are imperial. When an imperial bh (hired by the emperor himself) tries to kill thedark jedi, do you really think your imperial friends would protect the outlawed imperial jedi? I think not.

If you want to get TEF on everyone, go neutral?

The transfer force is a much bigger exploit because there is no way to gain TEF on that person no matter if you are rebel or imp

yep, bh's have nothing to do with this. the 2 tef systems work totaly different from each other. THERE IS NO WAY TO TEF THE TRANFER FORCE GUYS IN PVP.

There is no logical reason that same faction players should even be able to or have reason to attack each other. If you are in the same faction as you friend and he gets attacked you are going to help them and not just stand around.

You can't enter the FRS and be neutral.

The new trend for many"neutral" BH'sis intentionally switch sides between Rebel and Imperial all the time to only hunt Jedi in the same faction so they can get around the group TEF. Meanwhile they bring a group of their own so they can gank the Jedi. It is not hard with the help of a friend in each faction to maintain positive faction for both Rebel and Imperial so that you can switch sides at will, just have to wait out the hour for the resignation to take effect.

The biggest joke was a Neutral BH that came into a Rebel stronghold of 4 base's packed with rebel players, joined the Rebellion right there in their own base then commenced to attacking their own Jedi right there in front of everyone. His Imperial friend showed up but did not dare attack because he would have been attackable to all the rebels but no one could touch the BH.

OMG this is a funny exploit.

I second that tef removal quote Arjun!

Group Tef and entire Tef system has done nothing but bring grief to this game. I hope it goes when JTL gets here.

Well in that case all of this falls under the TEF system in general then.

This is no different than the covert guy in a group that never attacks other players but goes around Death Blowing players in the attacking group and never gets a TEF for it. There is usually one guy designated to go around and DB any players others are not able to finish off and they never get a TEF for it.

I thinkit isa flawed attempt forlogical thinking according to the mechanics of the Star Wars uiverse by the devs. I thinktheir reasoningis, that non force sensitive people don't know that somebody is using the force to heal/transfer/drain, so you don't get a TEF for it (yes, you can see the effects, but they are just fancy, not really something your character can see, only the player, just look at the movies - those efects really shouldn't be there in the first place). This logic is flawed, of course, because if a opposing faction Jedi sees you doing it, you will not get a TEF either, whereas after that logic, you should definitely get one, as the other Jedi would feel a change in the force. But maybe it's just a bug and it will be changed?

I believe that there is no TEF for force healing, because it works differently than normal healing. You can even heal furniture, if you want to. I usually use it on a ballot box terminal named 'urinal' to roleplay relieving myself into it, which is fun to do indeed (looney-style)

With that said, the whole TEF system is a horrible mess, and it should be removed and completely redone or replacedso only overts being able to attack other overts, no more TEFs to allow coverts to attack people, let them declare instead and make sure there are more locations where you can declare your faction affiliation.
