Thread: Time to change the npc's in the noob zones

It'd be nice once a majority of the playerbase proceeded past 2-2-2-2 pilot that we could get a major change to the level of the npc's in the tatooine, naboo, and corellia star systems. The vast majority of content there is tier one. With most player pilots I see on my server being higher than that. Hopefully, something will be done to give those araes new content for pilots that are aces already. Dathomir is cool, but gets boring.

Interesting.
Butnot very practical.

Don't you think there are always going to be new players?
How about those that want to start over again?

I don't care how much good stuff you put in that trainer ship, your not going to be able to outrun or out gun a Tier 5 NPC ship.

I think the new players need that security blanket until they get to tier 3 anyways.

if you take them 3 locations away how do new pilots start out?

Obviously, I dont mean take ALL the noob areas away. But consider those areas were made noob areas whene very server was a noob and it was more than enough.

After all these months I have to assume the amount of noobs dropped while the amount of higher level pilots have increased. It'd be nice If I could find some tier 3 and 4 ships in those sectors.

Perhaps I didn't make my point clear enough, sorry about that. I dont mean take away ALL lower tier ships in those sectors. But las night in the tat system I went all the way out and I'm still seeing tier 1 ships in it.

Too bad spawns can't be determined by your player level in order to better match your skills. WOuld be the best way to challenge the 2222's and keep some lower level NPC's for us noobs.

You have a hyperdrive... use it. I mean, really, is it that hard to go somewhere where there are tougher NPCs?Any planet where pilots can start out should not have enemies higher than a level 2 to contend with. Not to mention, it's kind of nice to have a few low-level "safe sectors" to use as an escape route when things take a turn for the worse.

This idea would suck. The way things are now, if you want (or need) easier targets, it's not too hard to find them. If you want something a little harder, they can be found too. If all the spawns were based on your level, very few people would be happy. Those that are looking for a challenge would be screaming to increase the difficulty while those who are already having a hard time will be screaming that they are being forced to fight enemies that are too hard.

Hey, don't flame me. I have no problem finding targets and have no problems knocking them down. I simply offered that as a suggestion to those who were griping about not being challenged enough. I've seen very few other solutions so instead of complaining about mine, why don't you offer up one of your own?

Sorry, maybe I was a little too harsh. I'm not offering up a better idea because I think it is working just fine the way it is - if it's not broken, don't fix it. Those that are complaining about not having enough of a challenge need to either go somewhere with harder NPCs (instead of expecting a challenge to come looking for them) or go to deep space (if they're not masters, they obviously still have something challenging to do). If deep space is too easy for them, maybe they should try it in a newbie ship...

if you want proof that diferant people have diferant skill i'v seen people looking for help with teir 3 and below missions for all factions i made reb pilot 3333 solo and never die'd once sso basicaly its a case of you just cant please every1 all the time. we need the teir 1's and 2's cause they are a easy sorce of space loot as for not finding teir 3 ships in corelia and the likes near the corelia space station there is a statick spawn its 3 dune lizards think its hut pilots kill them a few time in a row and 1 or 2 teir 3 ships will spawn on you i know cause thats how i train low leveland get most of my loot.

Sorry Slave138, straight text often comes out bad and is misread as in both our cases. You didn't offend me at all, your response wasn't too harsh. And mine, after looking back on it, seemed harsh as well. It wasn't meant to be. It just a matter of fact staement and I appologize for the way it came out.

Happy flying man,

Have you been to every section of tatooine and looked in every nook, corner, and crany? I'm sure there is more than just tier 1 out there. I know Naboo has more than tier 1 fighters. You might have been looking in the wrong places.

Oh, and Dathomir is not the only other system in the game. Check the other ones out, you can even go to Kessel and Deep Space also.

In defense of the original poster, he did say the majority in those sectors was level 1 (which is true). I, too, have been able to find higher levels in the starter systems, but they are usually only lvl 2 (I don't think I've ever seen a lvl 3 or higher in any of the systems he mentioned). The rest of your points are dead-on, tho. It's all a matter of just looking around - there are plenty of challenges available if you go to the right places or use the right ships...
