after talking with a dev it was made known to me that the yacht will be nerfed to only acomadte 8 passengers instead of the current 20 possibly how incredibly stupid is that leave the yacht like it is and give the option to place a working vendor in it for those days you take opassengers up in to space gees you make one thing that is absolutly perfect and screw it upwisky tango foxtrotover: whatis wrong with you i been playing game sinice aug 03 i feel its my dutie and right to speak up and say leave it as is damn you guys i was all about the expation again when we got that now im back teatring weather or not to keep playing

They're going to what!? That's not cool. I hope this doesn't happen, 8 people is just too small of a group for the yacht & stuff. For the YT-1300 however I could understand...it's smaller.

im telling you the dev told me straight out that this is a possible change that may happen i told him that it was a lame thing to do that it was perfect the way it wasi hope he takes that to the table with him when they discuss it i say this thread becomesa petition against changing the yacht nay to 8 hurray for 20 passengers

I hope that they do not limit it to 8, that defeats most of the purpose of a yacht.
Realisticly, the ship looks to be large enough to house a party (pun intended) and thats what I plan to use mine for. Guild meetings, hunting parties, "business" (I am a smuggler afterall) and just hanging out looking into the stars. A yacht is a pleasure ship that is made to accomodate a number of people and is only limited by its size. Also considering, according to the website, that it will be non-upgradeble, that will mean it will be extremely slow, sluggish in turns, and generally take forever to get anywhere.
My Reccomendation:
Either allow players to upgrade the ship or leave the player cap at 20.

thats a good suggestion i mean just the fact that when i leave the pilot seat go to that top deck and looked out that first time my heart jumpedup in my throught it was totaly a moment of awe at the work they did for that ship i agree with you thanks for the reply

..guys..if you leave a space stationyour group of 20 is asking to die all at once
the yacht is useless..and if a your RP'er..(god i hope your female or a child if you do RP)
then you will do nothing but stay at the space station..im sure 10 others will do the same.. its going to happen i know it..rude poeple crowding the space stations...they may take flight...they will be back..the pilot will get a wild hair and start spacing towards hutts..or uses hyper speed and transports you near a group of tier 3 fighters...die..and transported back to space station : \
to sum it up 8 seems fine for a useless star craft and its less often the pilot seat will be taken by nubs (who will start treking into space and get you all killed)

Um... the yacht is going to be invulerable to attack. If you read the ship description they put up it clearly states...
"The ship will be invulnerable to attack, possess no weapon systems, sensor arrays, escape pods, droid brain etc."

we watched one explode near us..then we got attacked *explosion sceen here*
if they make it invulnerable can it agro npc star ships? if so send your buddy in a yacht after your mission..let them agroe on the yatch while you destroy the enemys from behind..ifnpc star ships dontagroe on it..i can see the swarms of yatchs crowding the space stations still

its not even in public yet and they want to nerf it? it should at least be big enough to accomodate a full group

They should leave it the way it is 8 people is not enough to hold a good party, but 20 then you can throw a real cool party.

After looking back through some other posts i've seen from you, i can safely call bullsh*t on this post.
Your posts are FULL of mis-information (Re: How to get ships ?, Re: i guess we will not see the really good ships for a while since no body will be skilled yet! - Both of your most recent posts on the public forum contain FALSE information, not to mention that if the information were true, it would be in violation of the NDA which is still in place.)
EDIT: You can one star me all you want... That doesn't change the fact that you've been spewing steaming piles of crap out onto the forums.
