I guess i havent researched this part of SW lore enough, but it seems that vehicles with ion propulsion wouldnt much fear a missile projectile weapon. Can i get a sensus on this?

Obi-wan certainly had a tough time getting away from the missile that was fired at him by Jango

Uh yeah - Episode 2. Now maybe we should discuss the physics of a an oxygen burning motor in the vacum of space.

Without Missiles (Proton Torpedoes), Luke wouldn't have been able to destroy the Death Star.

Ummm
Easy. LOX. The Liquid Oxygen engines are actually valid and currently used by NASA...But that's not what the ships use in Star Wars.
You can see a flame from an engine, because of the type of fuel it burns.
For example:SpaceShipOne used an engine with fuel based on old rubber tires, and while it only went Sub Orbital, it still had a flame coming from the engine until they turned it off.

Picture it this way. Plasma, pulse, and laser weaponry is all good and well, but with ways to reduce potential damage (deflector shields) whats a way to bypass that? a physical concussion missle.

Now how about being able to hear every sound that occurs in the vacuum of space? NASA explain that one yet?

Star Wars histroy 101: Concussion missiles and Proton Torpedos when detonated cause that can, 1. Damage shields or, 2. Damage the ship. Proton torpedos are used to take down the sheilds of capital ships where as if you used lasers you would most likely run out of air before you destoryed the capital ship or get shot down. Concussion missiles do what, exactly do what I don't know but they must be deadly for them to make sheilds designed to stop them. Also most sheilds on Starfighters block energy, missiles can get past that and loge it self in the craft and then explode causeing more damage that shooting with lasers till you finally get the sheilds down 3 minutes later. Also the missiles also have farther range that lasers meaning if you where fighting TIE's you could get them before they get you.

Missiles were used, but to no real extent. I believe X-Wings could only carry 4 Protons total. Still, laser weaponry dominated. So yea, continuity still out the window, missiles are prevalent in this game. But so are power hammers and swords.

Hehehe
Good point, but the majority of space movies are guilty of this.
It's solely for the Audience's benefit so they aren't just sitting there watching a movie with zero sound.
Having sound in space in movies is just for entertainment value...

Once Roddenberry let them have the Enterprise "whoosh" past the camera in the opening credits, common sense was out the window for on-screen sci-fi.

Can some one please define what star warsy is?
I see people here post this all the time and I don't get it.
You are playing a game set in the star wars universe. Soon you will have ships to fly around in. Seems pretty star warsy to me.
