Thread: Did anyone pre-order from EB and not get the promo cd?

I preordered on 10-14-04.
I was already in beta.
EB website shows that the promo was shipped to me. I never got it.
Called EB, and the guy finds that there's no tracking number for the shipment.
"That's wierd", he says.
So now he's writing to his supervisor to see if they can try to ship me another one.
Anyone else have this problem?

I see. I'm in Florida though. I'm definately going to think twice before pre-ordering through EB or from SOE in the future. This is really sh!ty way to do business.

Me. I preordered on 10/21 and today is the first i've heard of a Promo CD. I have yet to receive anything from EB games. I couldnt take part in Beta, 'cause of my 56K connection. Maybe that has something to do with it. I'm gonna be kind of irritated if I can't get the preorder reward. Not only did I pay for next day shipping when I could have picked it up at Best Buy today, but I also apparently won't have anything to show for it.

There's no tracking number for the promo cd because they were all being send regular postal mail. Call your post office.

Actually, I preordered through ebgames.com and my pre-order CD came by way of FedEx. Only took 2 days to get here and they gave me a tracking number.
Now if I can just kick them in the A55 to get them moving shipping JTL today!!

I think what we're seeing here, and where the large part of the confusion is, is that obviously different store locations are doing different things. I was told when I pre-ordered through EBGames that the promo cd would be sent via regular postal mail. I canceled and just went to Gamestop here in town.
That being said, I think the best thing todo is to just deal with the store you are in contact with, as you will get different answers to the same questions here.

GameStop Screwed me. Ordered on the 13th (didnt know I was supposed to get a cd, cause i was already in beta). Was told today it would be a week for the Cd to get the Flash speeder and they could not ship with my coply of JTL which was going today. Poor customer service. It seems they have me by the nads, 'cause how else will I get the bonus?

i did it on the morning after you. and i havent gotten it either. Another question, will i be able to get the speeder in live? or is it just in beta? if it is i wont need it because i dont plan on playing in beta if i dont get the disc.

Beta is over. The speeder is for live for those that pre ordered from EB or GS only, and only before the "ran out" which for GS was like the 14th I hear and EB ended around the 22nd, not certain if everyone that ordered up till the 22nd got it or not though.
