Also, are our problems with weapons fixed yet? I'd like to put my components back into my ship.
Thanks,
Ato
I think it's safe to put components back into ships. I left a bunch of low level components on my ship and they haven't gotten messed up for the past two days.

Yep its a permanet addition, it's there if you want to use that ship for space mining. No idea what the chassis modifiers are.

Oh, and I guess for space mining you'll be given a trashheap set of mining equipment, like the way you got given a ship by your pilot trainer.

Winglets are used in commercial jet liners to increase fuel economy bytaking advantage ofthe wing tip vortexthat are formed by swept back wings. So why not here?
Looks like they do indeed serve a purpose. Just found this link from the SW forum regarding some of the new ships and features coming with ROTW.

Chassis Modifiers - maybe this is where such things as the Heavy X-wing modification come in? Although the Heavy Z95/Syck/TIE are made by shipwrights, hrm...

Actually I'm guessing the chassis modifiers are slots for the new decorative emblems that can be put on a ship. I have Winglet and Straker (sp?) components added to my SW list that appear to be a cosmetic modifier to a ship. Won't know for sure til ROTW I guess.
