Thread: ISSUE: NON-MASTER NEUTRALS CANNOT PVP

I know I've stated this in a couple of other threads, but I really wanted some feedback/suggestions (constructive, please).

If this PvE Kessel goes live:

Many are saying, "What's the big deal? Declare and go to Kessel!"

One problem with that: What about us neutrals who wish to remain neutral and like the RP aspect of being able to attack and be attackable by both sides?

Now, as a pre-master, if I want to PvP, I can't. All factional space stations tell me "Pick a side before you talk to me again". There is no neutral declaration.

I cannot PvP in space at all now. Period. I've never PvP'd before but wanted to try it out. That's what the devs wanted, right? For the PvE'ers to just try out PvP? Now, I can't.

And, no, I'm not going to go around and yell, "ne 1 wanna duel?? no DB??"

Sure, Neutrals cant PvP - thats why im Neutral...

If i wanted to PvP i would become Rebel or Imperial - why you think its different in Space?

Great. So I can smuggle all I want without fear of repercussion from the "authorities". Yeah. Real content there...

We smugglers almost had content. Sad.

Correct all factional stations tell you that.

However Neutrals can enter Deep Space htrough the Neutral station in the Dathomir sector and at that point they choose a side.

I don't know exactly how they changed Kessel, is it sole pvp or like Deep Space?

They're going to change it to PvE only. And Deep Space requires you to be master, and 30k prestige points.

I have neither. So, I can't declare and go to Kessel, I can't go to Deep space, I'm not going to fly around comm'ing if anyone wants to duel, so, what do I do?

I agree with the poster, I think changing an area to only PvE is an awful idea. I just came back to give this game one last try due to the addition of the space expansion, the Jedi quest system and soon the combat revamp. I'm a master smuggler and neutral player and i'm praying that they will allow more neutral based pvp, kinda like a criminal orginizations/mercenary roleplaying that doesn't involve just duels. I want to see morepvp options for neutrals to get involved in not less.

Well as TH said they need to make sure things work before this goes live, so I am sure since you provided feedback this will not be an issue. Good Job

We need another pvp zone. I certainly hope we get one, because as happy as I am to be able to complete the master missions when i get there (i had tried helping another large group with theirs), I never wanted Kessel to go non-pvp.

For the next pvp zone, I suggest the Alderaan system. Giant asteroid field! Woo! You know it'd be awesome for pvp.

Goodbye my love, goodbye. Losing ground is what it takes if you really want to fly.

SWG Wiki: Everything you wanted to know about kreetles, but were afraid to ask.

"Looks like SWG attracts the biggest cry babies, who whine about the game in multiple forums but continue to play it. We are tired of people making multiple posts in every PCG forum and whining about SWG. If you hate the game stop paying the monthly fee and sell everything on Ebay."

Thank you, Slarus. I certainly hope they do take notice of this.

What is truly needed is a PvP zone. (I'm anti-pvp because of griefers not because I hate PvP)

A space zone with no content only pvp if you fly into this zone your hot for any fire in zone.

If you cross infront of your group mate (wingman) when he shoots at a target you get smoked.

Of course damaged in zone needs a reduction mod of say 90% of normal so there will be no one shot kills.

NEWSFLASH PvP is NOT roleplaying period.

Roleplaying a character has nothing to do with pvp or pve. You play the character as actors do in a movie as if the character is real the aspects of the environment pve/pvp has no bearing on roleplay. WOOT PWN is not roleplay.
