As the subsect says, can you earn FP in space? If you can, how?

Yes, you just need to declare your faction. Go to the nearest factional station and /comm it.

After that you should be growing a healthy case of paranoia, and be constantly looking for other declared players. Should you grow too complacent you may suddenly find youself in a disintergrating ship without any clue was to how you died

or you can do like most... do it in deep space where it is a pvp zone anyhow and there is no decay....

besides... it's mostly deserted anyhow.

After you declare, do you get faction points from npc's too, or just other players you kill? And if it comes from npc's, is it just opposing faction, or any npc? I myself was never aware you could make anything but cash in space, which is why my flight stick is so dusty

The other night a guildie wanted to switch from reb to imp, I decided to help out with fp, I declared and went to DS, I made 2100 fp in 12 minutes without even trying! You can make a TON of FP in space without even breaking a sweat.

Strange. I haven't earned any FP in Deep Space the last few times I've been there. Hmm...maybe I'm maxed...

I believe (and could be wrong) that you can go to any Imp station and go overt, look for them inthe poi section.

Unfortunately a Neutral can't claim Overt and go to Deep Space (you can go there while covert). Therefore a Neutral can not gain FP in DS. You can still go to Kessel though.
