whats a good joystick to get for this game? price isnt an issue but id rather get a solid one at a good price, than spend double on one which just say feels nicer on the hands. Any recommendations?

I tried JTL with a joystick and my reccomendation would be... don't!
I figured a joystick would be awesome for JTL. Even had one with Force Feedback. While the flyint itself is more authentic you soon feel that JTL was not programmed for the joystick. You have to access the keyboard all the time during flight (even if you can put ALL keys you need on your 'stick you still need the keyboard for telling / groupchat), making flying with joystick a pain in the arse.

A lot of people like the Saitek X52 or X45 set up.

I use the Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS which is similar in design but made of all steel.

Saitek X52 here, upgraded from the previous version (X45 or somesuch).
You never ever have to touch the keyboard with this stick unless you're typing in guildchat or something.

I got a Saitek for 20 bucks from Wallyworld, works great. Although it would be nicer to have a few more buttons but meh, I use my arrow keys for boost and CMs.

Are there any joysticks with keyboards built into it? lol I use the keyboard a lot and I am looking into getting a joystick, don't know how good it will be though.

I use the same thing. Reasonable price if you're just gonna be using it for JTL and it's got enough buttons that you can keep your hands clear of the keyboard.
I would love to get an X52, though. Those things are sweet.

I use Saitek x45, awesome stick once you adjust the friction on the throttle to suit ya. It takes a good play session or 2 to get used to it if you haven't used a flight sim type controller before.

I use the Saitek Evo Cyborg. It almost feels like the game was made for it. An excellent stick and for not much money.

Saitek x45, but thinkin about switching to the x52 hehe. I have all my buttons mapped so for flight and battle I never have to take my hands off of the stick or my eyes off the screen. The only time you need keyboard is to chat, and no matter what stick you have, youre going to have to do that hehe. It does take some time to get used to stick after keyboard/mouse, but its infinitely better, because in some battles, if you take your eyes off the screen or have to wonder what button does this or that.... you're dead.
