NOW before you all start to flame me hear me out.

This is a expansion and i dont think anyone should be a master pilot in like 3 or 4 days like some have done allready, all this is going to do is get the people that were bored another reason to quit the game , and those that only get the game for the space will now quit or be forced to the planet side game.

Pilot should be a elite class and should take a good long time so when you master it you can feel good about it not " sigh another mastered class what to do now."

I do like how they have it so you have to train the hole line before you can adv and they tried to make it a story line of some sort.

But the xp needs to be increased or something or there will be to many master pilots way to soon flying around

searching the force for my place in it all.

I was just thinking that I find it far to easy to go out and get xp for this however I find the imp missions out of yavin 4 difficult

I think you need to realise that the people who are master or 4444 already are the people who play this game like a job i.e. 9-5 and probably with overtime

Others (like me) are lucky to get an hour or two a night.

The xp gain needs to be balanced between these two extremes, and so far I'd say it's about right!

I have a daughter and can only play and hour or two a night. But in one night I can average 2-3 tier one boxes, 2 tier 2 boxes, or 1 tier 3 box. I think this is a bit too easy. But, I have to admit that I don't have a lack of cash to buy the best of components for my ship. I seldom return from a mission with any damage. But, the fact that the ability is there to gain that much xp in just a couple hours shows that it may be a little bit too easy. I'm not saying to make the mission difficulty worse. I'm just that the dev's could decrease the xp a little.

I was going to comment, but you confused me. You sound like at first you're for an xp increase, then you say the devs need to decrease it?

Anywho, tier 4 boxes require 1 million xp each. I think it's about right. Any less would be too easy, any more would be ludicrous.

that's what I'd call wisdom, I rarely look at the boxes, and can spend hours in my loveboat hanging out with buddies, making turns on piloting. just have fun, who cares about xp ? who cares about others having a master title ? I don't care even if one could take master/ace in 2 minutes I wouldn't care, just go and have fun cause that's what *games* are about.

I've had JTL since launch, and I'm only at 1111 rebel pilot. At the pace the second row of skills is heading, it will probably take me forever to master. I can't imagining it taking even longer. And who cares if power gamers leave because they mastered their profession, they certainly don't represent most of the community anyhow.

Another thing you can do when you hit master is help other pilots lower than you. There will always be a few rookies about.

I think he's asking for less XP given per kill, which will make a bit harder to Master any pilot profesion.

In my opinion, XP is not a thing to care about when talking about JTL. I just hope it has fun and content. I'm quite tired of titles and so and, having no "big" specials in the space, Iwish I canfind a decent bunch of enemies to fair fight out.

Hope to see you there!

I wouldn't call myself an xp junkie. But, I do keep track of my progress. I do have goals. I spend much of my time trying to find friends to fly with and help out. I do still gain xp while helping them. If I have nobody to fly with, I do duty missions. That's where I get most of my xp. When I said that xp could be decreased it wasn't meant as a complaint. I just meant that if my progress was slowed some I wouldn't complain.
