Thread: I have officially bowed out of SWG...I wish you all well
NattyDreadlock wrote:JTL was going to be the games saving grace for me. but its much too incomplet and I see no real progress toward adding the additional content required to make it stand as more than just a yank and bank space shooter. I patiently paid my subscription for months without play in hopes that JTL and SWG woudl be worth playing again. No smuggling(or smugglers fo rthat mater) content, no commercial freighters or content for them. No variety in space faring as there is for the ground game, no purpose for fighting in space or on the ground, no end-game, no true impact on the GCW or in your own backyard. No real story-line...just crafting, inflation, fighting, wandering around aimlessly so that we can hang around just long enough for another billing cycle.I'll check back periodically to see how JTL is going, but for me JTL need to better intergrated into the ground game. Smugglers need to actually be smugglers, freighters should have freight to carry. There must be faction objectives and most importantly, there must be a war to win...a faction must win, the other faction must lose and then, by the grace of God, it starts all over again! There must be purpose for fighting, and just as important a purpose for having a supporting role in the war....because not every important role in combat is as a combatant. Variety and diversity is what will save this game...not new loot!
So basically, your saying, "This game sucks, it is not THE game im looking for, i quit, ta ta, thanks for the fish".
I'll bet you'll be off to another MMORPG at some point, and.. after a few months there, you'll probably making a similar post on those messageboards much akin to this post. Posts like this happen all the time, in every MMORPG ive ever played. People just have this incessant need to get their "final word" in. *shrug*

No : he's saying that the GCW has no use, that there is no end-game, that space is boring and that there is no story line.Surely you have read these complaints before, from any of the 100.000 "I quit posts".
Everyone that leaves says the same.
That should give you a clue, no ?

Well that tells me that people aren't helping out for a better game so they rather see it fall then help it go up more. Well if you make the game fall of course it'll be crap. Do something to help out and stop crying. O let me guess everybody who left used a afk macro to grind without going on hunts to get xp that way ? whatever I should stop postin in threads like these. (4th time now)
I agree...JTL offered nothing to extend the life of this game beyond a few months, get this I'M NOT QUITING. I can see the faults in the game but see the upside...much like a relationship...the matter of choice is how much you decide to take of it...weighing the sides.
JTL offered nothing outside of a mild extension...and I do honestly fear the combat uprade will be the same. I hope not but it is a fear.
Most people choose to see criticism as absolute hate instead of postitive...its a jaded view........start thinking for yourself.
Honestly you wanna one star me...fine, have the sand to say why. Again think for yourself you sheep.
I like to pretend it doesn't matter but one staring anyone without a backbone perturbs me...not like I can come and hurt you. Reach down deep and rail me for what you think I said wrong...I'm done.

That is the problem, people play MMoRPG's like they are supposed to have an ending. Developers lay a storyline out, but it is your "Option" to follow it. Even then there is no "ending". If there were an ending then it would piss more people off then the people that want an ending. I say if your looking for a game with and end game play command and conquer or something with a single player mode. if you are looking for interaction and the ability to create your own storyline then MMoRPG's were invented for that purpose. Unless you put forth some effort into being involved in the activities and other events players create, then all you will do is get bored. The reason most of these people leave is, they have gotten bored of grinding proffessions thinking that once they master their proffession they will get the "I win" tag or like what happened to many Jedi. Once they reach Jedi they decide "Well i made it this far and for what, more grinding". What people need to do is realize half the story in this game is put in by developers, the other half "SHOULD" come from the population. Granted this shouldnt lessen the responsability of developers to come up with content. Also this does not excuse the individual from getting involved and creating his/her own Star Wars Universe.
