Well I knowI will be upgrading mine and then get JTL (whenever it comes)

Anew motherboard (asus Maybe)

anda gig of ram

later:

A bigger case

A new stinking video card (looking at an ATI Raedeon9700 or better)

so who is upgrading?

2gb ram dunno if that will help much

Now:

P4 2.4Ghz 800fsb

2*512 3200 DDR

ATI Radeon 9500 pro 128mb

Works great with one account up....sluggish with two running, but only when both charachters are in a city. If anything, i'll double the RAM to 2gig, and maybe upgrade to a 9800, but that's it. This game has already cost me enough

I wont touch the processor/mb until the speed doubles, or 18months goes by since I purchased it(my rule of thumb when deciding to buy a new computer)

Dude buy a nice motherboard, the one i use lets me overclock my P4 2.8gig to 3.4gig no problems (probably more if i dared )and the chip runs at 40 degrees. If i get a nice water cooling system added it will probably lower the temp alot more.

I might get a new Graphics card for my pc, i'm using an nVidia 5200 GeForceFX on a windows xp 2000 PC.

I should have money in a month or two to buy one, but i'm unsure which one to get in my price range. I can't spend 400 bucks on a snazzy radeon, but i could upgrade my geforcefx to a better one, maybe 5600 or 5800.

I doubt my system will handle JTL. It can't even have shadows due to the immense slowdown which detracts from my playing

I not that worried, I might change to the latest ATi card but thats more to be ready for Doom3 and HL2 then JtL. Dont think it will force you to upgrade your computer if it works fine with swg.

Ill be upgrading my RAM to 2gigs of DDR 3200, and Ill be getting one of the new graphics cards. Problem is I cant decide which one. The X800 has better overall performance, but doesnt support any of the new features that the GF 6800 does(like PixelShader3.0). On the other hand, if I get the GF 6800, Im going to need a new mobo and power supply, as well as a new case for extra cooling fans(TWO molex connectors and three fans are needed to run the GF effectivly, the thing is a total resource-hog).

I just recently upgraded my computer and I stay pretty constant at 25-29fps even in Coronet.

  • Athlon 3200 400FSB (2.2Ghz if I remember right)

  • 1Gig RAM

  • GeForce 5700 FX 256MB

  • Cable Modem

It might not be an Uber system, but it works for me.
