Thread: SOE Is dishonest and guilty of false advertising on JtO preorders.

SOE posted the following.
"Cruise the Galaxy in Style in Your Exclusive In-Game Gift, the Flash Speeder!
As part of your exclusive Pre-Order Package, you will receive an exclusive in-game item, the Flash Speeder.
When Jump To Lightspeed launches you'll receive your very own Flash Speeder, a sleek lightweight vehicle from Naboo!
Simply purchase your retail copy of the JTL game, and add your retail key code onto your active Star Wars Galaxies Station account. The first time you enter the live Jump To Lightspeed game you'll receive the Flash Speeder in-game.
Remember, since this gift is exclusive it cannot be sold or traded in-game.
You will be able to redeem your Flash Speeder at any time during the active life of your Jump To Lightspeed subscription -- but you will only receive one per character on the account you activate that carries both the Pre-Order and Retail keys."
Based on this I preordered, using the login preorder JtL order click, from EBGames.
Then SOE announced that you must be in beta to get the speeder.
Tried to cancel order at EBGames.
EBGames said that they had been late recieving JtL, but that my order along with 1000s of others was in the shipping process and could not be cancelled. EBGames found out that the speeder would only be available for beta 2 weeks before the end of beta and took it off thier web site (but left the picture). SOE did not change there post, even after they announced that the speeder would only be available to those who used the key in beta.

I pre-ordered yesterday, got a beta disc and put in the code and got the Flash Speeder.
So um . . . how about them Red Sox?

where did it say u had to also be in beta. i mean if u get the preorder disk then u get the keycode that has a flashspeeder. havent u noticed how EB games serpates shelve copies of JTL and preorder copies. the preorder ones have keys that have the flash speeder, in the same manner as keys for special edition of swg grant u goggles. while the standard version doesnt. its all in the key code man so just relax.
man people panic so much around here.

Ok, dumb question then.
I just got my pre-order disk from EB. I have to go tomorrow to get the actual game. When I load the game do I enter the code I got with the pre-order? Any insite as to what I have to do to get my speeder?

SOE Rep, EBGAmes, and CSR says that you must use key from preorder beta disc while beta active to get speeder. EBGames has known this for weeks.

Yeah, at the moment I was preordering the expansion (10/06/2004) they had "+bonus" at gamestop. Now they dont have it... but I should be able to get what I've ordered at that time, right? Guess not...
I paid 19$ extra for delivery the game from US just to get this speeder... guess what.. my money wasted for nothing?!

They failed to mention that Europeans wouldnt get the "bonus" thought. So all of us europeans pre-ordered it thinking we would get a nice flash speeder. but this is completly untrue and only americans got the speeder.

Maybe if we ALL European Players would deactivate our account for 1 Month!! Then maybe they would feel the Financial gap they are getting...and maybe then they will see how many loyal European players there are!! And maybe then they get a slap into their faces with the message that we European Players are tired of getting SCREWED over US Players ALL the time!!!

Maybe if you Euro players would listen to the devs... they said Euro players WOULD get their speeders. Its VERY likely that you will get it by entering the RETAIL account upgrade code. So dont start getting all pissed will tm afternoon rolls around and you dont have one.

Well that's why I am waiting yet... Wouldn't be surprised if SOE just gives the speeders to all preorders after so many ranting threads...
