I just had a friend of mine do this 5 minutes ago.

Here is what you do:
*) Launch your LIVE client. (you do not need to install the beta client)
*) Read the notice pane about how to activate you flash speeder
*) Follow the directions there

He now has his flash speeder in the game. THERE IS NO REASON TO EVEN INSTALL THE BETA CONTENT FROM THE CD



No but you need a key (from the beta disk) and beta disks seem to be not being shipped to europe (not confirmed however because shops just start shipppinghtme overseas).

Alright guys, calm down. Look at the DEV tracker.


You use BOTH keys, the pre-order beta to unlock the speeder and the live key with the retail disk to activate JTL.


Man, some people get so upset over nothing.

I would like some help getting an issue resolved. It concerns my pre-order of JTL through EB Games Online.

There has never been any indication that being a resident of Canada would exclude me from receiving my CD with Access to Beta nor the bonus in game item.



I preordered JTL (Order ID: xxxxxxx) on 9/24/2004 11:20:18 AM.



As I have not received the Beta CD yet I was told that I was not eligible for the bonus as I was not a US resident. I was told that the "Bonus" was "tied together" and I was not eligible.



I am not entirely certain if the customer service rep from EB Games really knew what they were talking about but I am extremely concerned that I will not get the in game item once JTL goes live. I would like to confirm that Iwill be receiving the in game item once my order arrives.



I am not so concerned about the Beta CDs as I got a Beta invite via the SOEboards already but I do think that this issue needs to be resolved in the future. After all, if SOE lets me get into Beta and they know I live in Canada, why shouldn't EB Games allow it when they are advertising access to get customers to buy from them. How many international (Not that Canada is really that international considering NAFTA) have gotten screwed by this EB Games Policy.



In summary, will I be receiving the in game item?

There is some question as to wether or not international customers will be recieving the preorder code with the actual retail code when it is shipped to them. As you can see from this email thread Mark S responded to me by saying I would get it once the expansion landed on my desk but I won't start holding my breath. We shall see.

You can still get your speeder today with the preorder beta code even though beta is over.

Although I was in the beta I didn't imputmy preorder key until today.


Hopefully I will get my retail copy tomorrow but in the mean time I do have the flash speeder active on live today after imputing the code from the preorder beta case today.


Also for those of you that didn't preorder JTL but will be buying it at a store soon you may still be able to get the speeder too.

Call in advance if you want, but many gamestop and electronic boutique stores still havemanypromo beta cases left and will be happy to give you one with your purchase of the full version.
