Thread: Tired, worn out, beaten up old gripe the REAL Rebel Flight Helmet...when? Never?

Ok - when, if ever, are we gonna see this thing?


Just be honest with us. We aren't ever going to see one in game. Right?


We have that quasi-Star Wars Rebel Ace Helmet thing and that's allwe'll everget.


Quess it was too much to ask to have the art department use the "see-through" visor coding from the chitin helmet and apply it totheabove mentioned item. But look at all the cool new toolbar icons we have - time well spent. Guess I should just shut up and be happy.


Ah well, it was nice to dream that maybe someday it would happen. But like most dreams, it never came true.


Guess my problem was that I thought they would include some Star Wars stuff in this Star Wars game....

Unfortunatly you're asking for an iconic piece of Starwars gear.

Had you asked for something Jedi or Episode Three related, you'd see it ingame within three standard working days

One can only hope it'll be added somewhere down the road, when the Devs feel like they need a little something to pacify those upset players.

The reason we don't see iconic hats and helmets in the game is very simple. Fear of revolt and outrage by all the players playing species that can't wear them. Period. It was the same thing with the Imperial Hat (and non-male, non-human or zabraks still complain about it).


Hell, wookiees still complain they can't wear storm trooper armor.

Well then maybe the Devs should get off their lazy duffs and make the true Star Wars content items their #1 priority. Making them all work properly for everyone before they go and waste time making up new Image Designer tents, Chefs hats, colorful toolbar icons, etc, etc, etc.


Come on now! This is supposed to be a STAR WARS game! It should be crammed with iconic Star Wars items! I should look around and see people wearing not only correct Rebel Flight Helmets but also that Blockade Runner helmet from Episode 4. I should see people carrying DL44s and E11 carbines , not these goofypistols and funky rifles the Devs dreamed up and made the best wepons in the game so no one uses anything else. I should see so much Star Wars content I will really believe the Devs have "immersed" me in the Star Wars universe - isn't that their promise?? As it stands right now I feel I am playing Everquest with a sci-fi skin (with the occasional, "Oh look at that, wasn't that in Star Wars?" factor).


It's really sad when you think about it - but it's probably one of the biggest reasons this game is not doing so well. People pay for Star Wars and that's not what they get....

They can add three different coloured variations of a full suit of armour (clone) that hardly gets used, but when it comes to one of the most memorable piece of Starwars Wear - right next to Lightsabres, Blaster Pistols, Flightsuits and Jedi Robes....

I had never thought of this reason and it does make sense .. in a twisted way. And for the record, anyone who creates a wookie character planning on wearing a storm trooper helmet needs to be thrown under the nearest shuttle that is landing.

It's worth asking over and over and over until it is answered!

Please, put these (And other movie-authentic) helmets in-game already!

And, I too, would not be able to wear them with my main character (Twi'lek), but I SO want to see them in-game.
