Not certain how many of you may have had this experience.

Hunting the mercenary frieghters by the space station. Got too close...eject from ship. Kashyyyk space station *WILL NOT REPAIR* any of ship. Instead they give me crap about blowing them up. Suggest I land..then they will fix the ship. So I land.

Go to launch ship. Uh-uh...engine is disabled.

Hmm...travel. Ooops...no engine.

Buy a ticket and shuttle home...get other ship. Ooops...no shuttle service.

Call for help. Fiance' doesn't have wookie expansion...

Oh Fudge! I'm marooned on Kashyyyk!!!

/edit to fix spelling and continue saga...

And no vendors can be placed on Kashyyk. Use the trade forum: "WTB all purpose ship repair kit, with delivery service." Ouch. I'm so mean.

Do you have a spare engine of any sort? If you can just get into space and hyper out, that would be enough. My new character on Starsider is a SW now, and would never be stuck like this (pack rat too, I'll always have enough resources around for small items).

Options:

1) Get someone to bring you a repair kit or the parts you need.

2) Get someone to fly you off of Kashyyyk so that you can purchase the parts, repair kit or another ship and return.

3) Deed your ship and get someone to fly you off of Kashyyyk.

Lesson Learned:

Alwayscarry an all purpose ship repair kit.

To be honest, I didn't. Although they haven't had an issue with it since. Apparently its one way the devs wanted to make certain you landed on Kashyyyk. Since then I've had no problem.

On anotehr note, aside from making an amusing story, a guild member ran both an allpurpose repair kit and another engine out to me. But I still think its funny. First time I've ever had that happen.

Man it is soo nice being a Rebel... you have no idea how handy /Vrepair is especaly if you get taged by a gunboat and need to limp to deep space...

And you Imperial pilots make fun of us for not having good specals... I can buy repairs (75%) and missiles in space... and the shield adjusting programs are suprisingly usefull in PvE, would be for PvP but the ones that could save your bacon take to long to reset and leave you rather exposed.
