As far as I know, you only have to be in a group in which someone takes out a vette. I would hit some of the critical systems on it to make sure you get credit, but yes, it counts for everyone present. I mastered with one other person when I did mine.

To be more succinct, you have to do at least 5% damage to the Vette. For the most part, taking out a single turret or component should suffice.

Even doing *partial damage* should suffice, even if you're a lousy shot.

No.

You don't even have to be close, being in Kessel is all that is needed to get credit when someone of your group takes out the corvette (when we did the ace mission for a guildie a RSF freelancer joined us who also waited for the vette to spawn, when it finally spawned that person was afk somewhere in kessel, we did take out the vette, he got credit too).

Sheesh, why do they even assign the mission if you can accomplish the mission without even getting your hands dirty?

I would suspect it is this way because of the fact that not everyone is in a "bomber"-type ship in the vette-fight. I guess it's a way to give people credit for the Vette kill even if they just took on the escorts.

It does however leave options for doing the mission without any effort at all, which is bad... The 30 kill mission is even worse, since everyone in a group gets credit for every kill, even though they might not have fired a single shot.

Meet a buddy, both Reb 4444, can we group and do the corvette mission, that is both of us help take outthe samecorvette and both get credit for master? or, will we have to do it twice?

also, I Kessel I finally saw a "Star Ranger" correllian corvette, is that the Imperial vette we're looking for?

You can also get the mission success for killing the corvette if you help another group doing it. If you are flying around and see 5 ships taking out a corvette, all you need is one hit that scores damage on the corevette and you get full credit for killing it as do the other group that is attacking it. You won't get looting rights though.

No, man.Youcan do zero damage and still get credit, as long as you're not too war away from the vette when it blowns up, some even say as long as you're in the system you'll ok.
