Maybe if i put the word kesel in the title this thread would get some more attention?
Sadly, you're prolly right.
On the Lot issue, I don't like it. Should'nt take up a lot in the 1st place.

No it shouldn't cost a lot. This is a vet reward and should not cost the vet anything. The extra 75 item storage is a thank you for growing with the game over the past year. I compare it too a wife beater that says " I Love You" whilst hitting. Give with one hand, take with another is not a way to say thanks. I am very upset that I cannot redeed this and recover my lot. If I would have known that it would permanentlyreduce my "playablility" by taking the 10 minutes cruise I never would have cashed in the deed. It is way too slow to use as a viable travel option and I can tour space with my fighter. My suggestions to improve this ship situation would be...
1. Allow the customization of engines, reactors, and boosters. Set mass at 100k for this.
2. Allow redeeding of the ship.
3. Increase item storage to 150.
4. Fix autopilot.
5. Fix the dashboard being always visable.
6. Remove the lot cost for this reward.
7. Remove the ship lot cost for this reward.
These are all reasonable requests.

And the bug of it not freeing up a lot for you is annoying as well.I'm glad I read this and haven't used my yaucht yet. Other than being unattackable I see no benefit to it over a MP ship (which can travel faster, etc). But SOE implemented this because of their flawed database design. Allowing 75 more "storage units" per toon would have caused huge database inlfation and probably crashed the game. Sad, isn't it?
Yes, this flawed-by-design database problem seems to come up quite often. Storage for BE's and their DNA samples would kill the database altogether, thats why they can't get help for storage. Thats why anyone can't get help for storage. they won't let guild halls hold their intended amounts, and its not a bug, it's an omission. Remember the great melon nerf? and THAT was early on in the game that they already experienced a less-than-adequate database.
changing to a new type of "adequate" database solution will probably cost too much for a switchover. So the bottom line is, we're stuck with it and SWG will always be "the game with the lousy database limitations".

It's okay, you've been conditioned by SOE to think this way. The game is supposed to be fun and the last thing i want to worry about (even more so) as a crafter is how I'm gonna make up for losingone lot (two when i reach master)that I'm already in short supply on.
This touches on the subject of the "storage issue" (not enough room to store everything you own) but I won't get into that. Just like everything else in this game, without question, the entire storage and lot system needs to be looked at and revamped.
