I myself don't like this slug of a ship even with a 104 level 10 engine in it with 80 yaw 80 pitch and 80 roll I could still fly better in my Nova !!! Tell me what you guys think!

Purpose built ship that fills a unique niche and fills it well. It is not a fighter but it is very effective when deployed correctly.

It's outright unbalanced. No other Master-level fighter maneuvers so badly. Yeah, it's stated purpose is to nail capital ships. However, the Krayt packs the same number of guns with only 30K less mass and has twice the maneuverability.

edit:

People say that the B-Wing should be less maneuverable than the Y-Wing Longprobe because it packs so many guns and more mass. Well, the Krayt is 30% more maneuverable than the Y-Wing Longprobe.

A well outfitted Krayt flies like a nice X-wing... but the Krayt has 3 guns available to the pilot not 4 Like the B-wing, and if I'm not mistaken the B-wing also sports 2 missle launchers... B-Wings were designed specifically for Capital ships (and gunboats) the Krayt was designed by SWG Devs to give the privateers a 2 person MP on par with the Y-wing and Avenger... Apples and Oranges if you think about it...

But I love the Krayt...

Eh, I like the B-Wing. I got mine fitted to be a decent starfighter. With a bit of practice, it can become quite the nice fighter.

imo the b-wing is a horrible handicap to the rebels compared to other master lvl fights, however i also find the b-wing is the best for PVP aswell as capital ships (no ships lasts long against my guns ), but rebel ships really need to be looked at.

There is a republic ship called that ARC 170 thats being added aprently which looks like an x-wing so rebels might get that.

I do too. It's so hard to fire the damn thing with the wings down. Sure you can open the S-Foils before you enter hyperspace, but we shouldn't have to do that...

The Kimogila, the Rihkxyrk and the Krayt are the unbalanced ones. Good engine with engine overload and they handle like a medium fighter instead of a heavy. Dropped freelancer in favor of Rebel. The rebel ships just have more personality in their handling.

If you played x-Wing vs. TIE Fighter the B-Wings weren;t too bad. They were actually quite good at turns. Perhaps this calls for a HotFix???

Good!!!

I love my B-wing. I don't have any trouble with tier-5 ties of any kind I can still get over run but that happens in any ship. And when2 or 3 of us are together we own whatever system we are in. You have to know how to fly it and equip it. It isn't that hardit is a true master level ship. You have to be the right kind of pilot to fly it.

With the descriptions from the stories on how hard they are to learn to fly I think the Devs did an unbelievable job with the B-wing. Alot of pilots don't like them and a few pilots can do amazing things in them. Perfect.

It would be nice if it maneuvered a little better than it does but I can live with it. Using engine overcharge 3 I can get it to fly like my longprobe did before I knew about engine overcharge. You have to know how to control it. I love it.

Anyone who beleives that needs to start flying other ships so they have a point of comparision.

Sure the Bwing handles like a pig, ive flown them myself. But they also have the most mass and most forward gunmounts of any other starship in the game. Can't have your cake and eat it too scenario. What keeps the Bwing from being overpowered as a ship is that it is finicky, tempermental, and generally hard to fly. But a skilled pilot can fly them effectively. It just takes alot of patience to unlearn old habits and learn new habits.

I hate my B-wing. It's not a matter of being "difficult to learn" etc, it's a matter of the delay and oversteer in the handling. After you spend some time getting used to the wobbling back and forth due to theimpossibly slow accelerating handling, you learn thattracking a fighterin it isa very inefficient process, considering thata lot of your shots won't hit anyway due to the spread, and your capacitor will run out real quick.

Due to the handling, the B-wing is only usable by players who have the "pre-nerf uber RE'd lvl10 engine", and once overcharge gets fixed and actually decays the uber engine, I'm sure you'll think twice about leaving it constantly on.

It is useful against gunships. I agree that it fills a "niche". But that "niche" is something that I certainly couldn't care less about. I'm OK with being a little weak against gunships, I'm not OK with being EXTREMELY weak against fighters.

You are up against fighters for 90% of the game. The Oppressor and Krayt are both excellent ships against fighters. The B-wing is MISERABLE against fighters, yet the Krayt and oppressor are still pretty good against gunships, the b-wing only marginally better in this area.

I'd be fine if they left the B-wing as the gunship only option, but they'd need to give rebs a high mass medium fighter.
